How to open Axiom Archive in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert, though a sandbox action-adventure game at heart, can just as easily be construed as a puzzle game, considering how many of them you're going to come across on the continent of Pywel. What's more, it's a game that does not hold your hand whatsoever when it comes to most things, and especially regarding puzzles. Odds are that you're going to get stuck, and one of the first hurdles you're going to have to clear is the Axiom Archive, which has to be opened to progress the main story. So here's how you can do so. Axiom Archive puzzle in Crimson Desert, solved The Axiom Archive is one of the first major puzzles that you need to solve. Screenshot by Destructoid The Axiom Archive is located on one of the first Abyss islands you're going to come across. It's a large domed building sitting at the end of a walkway surrounded by garden trees and foliage. The game tasks you with opening the doors to the Archive, but never actually explains what it is you're supposed to be doing. In Pywel, electricity, or rather power, exists, even though this is a medieval-esque world with fantasy characteristics. It is powered by strange mystical energies, the source of which is entirely unknown. It flows through those grey concrete pipes you've likely come across when you first entered the island. If you still want to solve the puzzle yourself, follow the pipes and see where they lead and how they work. You'll probably figure it out in the end. - Solution beyond this point - You need to turn these wheels around to bring the energy flowing from the top pipe to the bottom one, powering the door. Screenshot by Destructoid For those who do not want to figure it out, you can open the Axiom Archive by turning those two wheels immediately to the right of the archive itself. As you approach the steps leading to the door, turn right among the hedges, and you'll find two wheels on the floor. Use your Axiom Force to grab the wheels and then turn them to bring energy from the top pipe to the bottom one. You can use the Lantern to reveal where the beams are pointing by default and figure out which way to turn them. The post How to open Axiom Archive in Crimson Desert appeared first on Destructoid.
