Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Gave Me What Oblivion Remastered Couldn’t

I went into The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered with my rose-tinted glasses on. The original game is a foundational RPG for my tastes, and while I think the remaster is a phenomenal touch-up (performance issues aside), I think I ultimately set my expectations too high. I still sunk a few dozen hours into Oblivion Remastered, but I never finished it, and have a hard time seeing myself returning to Cyrodiil. It wasn't until I recently started playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that I realized what I had been missing from Oblivion Remastered.
