Andre Agassi joins Tennis Clash as Winners Alliance and Wildlife Studios expand partnership

Andre Agassi is returning to mobile gaming. The eight-time Grand Slam champion and former tennis world No. 1 is officially showing up inside the game Tennis Clash through an expanded partnership between Winners Alliance, which represents the group commercial rights of professional tennis players, and Wildlife Studios, the game’s developer and publisher. Agassi has been one of the most requested athletes among the Tennis Clash community, according to a Tennis Clash representative in a press release. He joins a roster that already includes seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams and fan favorite Gaël Monfils, both of whom debuted in the game earlier this year. The extended partnership follows a strong fan response to those additions, with more players still to be announced. “Bringing a legend like Andre Agassi into Tennis Clash is a significant addition for us,” said Giovanni Piffer, partnerships lead at Wildlife Studios, in a press release, calling Agassi one of the most iconic players in tennis history. Piffer said pairing Agassi with today’s stars helps the game celebrate tennis across generations. Tennis Clash lets players compete as some of the sport’s biggest names, and the game has surpassed 170 million downloads worldwide, making it the most popular tennis game globally. Agassi’s addition marks a notable shift in how the game introduces its licensed athletes: he’ll be the first Tennis Clash player to debut through multiple personas representing different eras of his career, giving players who never watched him compete a chance to experience the different versions of Agassi that shaped his cultural footprint. “For Andre, I’m especially excited for them to represent his multiple eras, the first athlete in the game to debut with multiple personas,” said Manny Redruello, vice president of games at Winners Alliance, in the release. Redruello credited Wildlife Studios with not just capturing athletes’ playing styles but bringing their personalities to the game as well. Building Agassi’s in-game character was a collaborative process between Wildlife Studios, Winners Alliance, and Agassi’s own family. His children, Jaden and Jaz, worked directly with the development team on his look, wardrobe and personality across his career eras, giving the studio firsthand insight most licensing deals don’t have access to. Jaz Elle Agassi said in the release that the game’s reach made it a natural fit for extending her father’s legacy to fans who never saw him play. “Tennis Clash felt like the right fit at this stage because of its ability to connect with a generation that did not necessarily experience him play,” she said, pointing to the game’s broad audience and its approach to portraying athletes. Jaz described the project as personal, recalling how her father’s style stood out to her growing up. “Growing up and only knowing him as dad, my eyes would always light up at the fun earrings and clothes he would wear,” she said, adding that learning more about his career later gave her a deeper appreciation for its impact. Jaz also connected the project to a broader point about athlete NIL — name, image and likeness — rights, which are often associated with active college and professional athletes rather than those well into retirement. “Business and impact both stand on the brand that is built over a long career,” she said, arguing that managing NIL lets athletes extend their influence well past their playing days. The Agassi partnership arrives as Winners Alliance continues building out its group licensing model across tennis, cricket and basketball, representing hundreds of athletes through its affiliations with the Professional Tennis Players Association, World Cricketers’ Association and EuroLeague Players Association. The organization has said it’s working to expand that model into video games, trading cards and collectibles. Wildlife Studios, founded by brothers Victor and Arthur Lazarte, has launched more than 60 games over the past decade, with its titles downloaded more than 4 billion times combined. The eight-time Grand Slam champion and former tennis world No. 1 is officially showing up inside the game Tennis Clash through an expanded partnership between Winners Alliance, which represents the group commercial rights of professional tennis players, and Wildlife Studios, the game’s developer and publisher.
