From the Western Desert to the jungles of New Guinea and the island campaigns of the Pacific, ANZAC forces earned a reputation for adaptability, resilience, and making the most of difficult conditions. That same spirit defines their playstyle in KARDS.
ANZAC cards reward strong positioning and battlefield awareness, with powerful effects tied to where units stand on the battlefield and where cards sit in your hand. Forecast and Veteran synergies run throughout the roster, giving ANZAC commanders new ways to adapt to changing battlefield conditions and capitalize on shifting weather patterns.
Whenever you play a card with Forecast, you choose one of three forecast options: Blue Skies, Mist, or Gale. Think of these as operational forecasts - each one grants access to a different weather type: Sunny, Rain, or Storm.
Three weather cards from the selected weather type are then presented at random. Choose one, and it arrives in your hand at the start of your next turn, ready when conditions are right.
Each forecast supports a different approach to the fight:
- Blue Skies (Sunny) delivers aggressive weather effects, including attack buffs, Blitz, and offensive upgrades designed to maintain momentum. Weather cards in this category include Heatwave, Jungle Fever, and Scorching Sun.
- Mist (Rain) focuses on control, defense, and battlefield disruption, helping commanders suppress threats, slow enemy advances, and reshape engagements. Weather cards in this category include Deluge, Torrential Rain, and Monsoon Rain.
- Gale (Storm) unleashes destructive weather effects built around removal, disruption, and overwhelming force. Weather cards in this category include Thunderstorm, Tropical Storm, and Cyclone.

With 27 spawn-only weather cards spread across all three weather types, no two Forecast decisions play out quite the same way. Every forecast is a calculated risk - the conditions you set today may determine tomorrow's victory.

As a neutral spawn-only card, Blast can be generated by multiple nations. In Oceania Storm, it appears on British and Soviet cards.

Each Research chain unfolds across three escalating tiers of branching decisions, reflecting a nation's evolving wartime priorities. Early investments establish direction, while the final tier unlocks the most powerful strategic options available.

Deploy in style with new cosmetics, or transform the battlefield itself with the latest HQ: Fortress Darwin.

Britain focuses on cards that did not start in your deck, versatile utility options, and heavy bombers capable of delivering decisive strikes at critical moments.

Germany centers on repeatedly operating units and extracting maximum value from experienced troops. Veteran synergies reward careful force preservation, turning battle-hardened units into increasingly dangerous assets as the campaign unfolds.

Japan embraces resource sacrifice as a weapon, fielding cards that grow stronger the more kredits you willingly surrender. Forecast synergies and aggressive air power reinforce constant pressure, while Imperial Research provides Japan's long-awaited Research chain.

The Soviet Union expands its token-generation capabilities and Veteran synergies, sustaining pressure throughout prolonged engagements. Soviet Military Research completes the Research lineup and offers a new chain of escalating strategic choices for commanders willing to invest in the long game.

The United States leans into infantry tactics, Veteran synergies, and the unpredictability of Forecast. Careful weather planning creates sudden opportunities capable of transforming a hard-fought stalemate into a breakthrough.

France, Italy, Poland, and Finland each receive new reinforcements tailored to their established identities, deepening existing synergies and opening new tactical possibilities as Oceania Storm reaches every theater of war.
Key changes:
- Card rotation now occurs once per year during Winter and is based on card sets.
- Oceania Storm marks the final rotation under the previous system.
- The Permanent Card Pool is now active, with more than 400 cards guaranteed to remain in the active pool indefinitely.
- Card sets now receive a guaranteed lifespan between 21 and 30 months.
- Summer expansions receive the longest lifespan, while Spring expansions receive the shortest.
- Cards returning from Reserves rotate out alongside the expansion that brings them back.
- Reinforcement mini-sets Air Supremacy and United Front have moved out of the World at War set. Air Supremacy now joins Naval Warfare; United Front joins Blood & Iron.

Draft
- In AI matches, CROSSFIRE could trigger again even if no unit was destroyed. Fixed.
- Fixed broken interaction between 48th ARMORED INFANTRY and orders that deal 1 damage to all units (e.g. FRONTAL DEFENSE, CROSSFIRE) causing the 48th ARMORED INFANTRY to be buffed incorrectly.
- Effects decreasing the cost of cards in hand or in the deck did not correctly apply for Covert cards. Fixed.
- Effects providing buffs to units in the hand or deck did not correctly apply to Covert cards. Fixed.
- Buffs to adjacent ground units (e.g. by Sd KFz 222) were incorrectly applied to a Covert unit after it was revealed. Fixed.

- The 199th RIFLE REGIMENT’s unit ability was repeatedly triggered after a friendly MOSQUITO B/F Mk IV unit was converted. Fixed.
- When a Fighter unit (e.g. HURRICANE Mk I) was deployed, BURST OF FIRE was played on the unit and the unit attacked twice, if that unit was retreated and re-deployed in the same turn and a second BURST OF FIRE played on it, it could only attack once the second time. Fixed.
- When a FORTUNES OF WAR was played on an enemy 55th RIFLES, the 3 additional kredits were not correctly added at the start of the next turn. Fixed.
- Fixed broken interaction between B-26 MARAUDER and THUNDERBOLT causing incorrect cards to be selected and cards in hand to visually remain raised.
- Fixed broken interaction between 48th ARMORED INFANTRY and 5-Attack enemy units with Ambush causing no damage dealt to the Ambush unit.
- When FRONTAL DEFENSE was played on units with abilities that deal extra damage (e.g. HENSCHEL HS 129), the damage dealt by the FRONTAL DEFENSE effect at the end of turn was incorrectly increased. Fixed.
- In some cases, opening the Packs view and switching back to the Home screen repeatedly could render the top menu bars unresponsive. Fixed.
- When a player was in the Packs view, if the connection was lost and a pack was opened, the player could become stuck in the Packs view. Fixed.
In addition to the fixes listed above, several behind-the-scenes improvements have been deployed to ensure smoother operations across the battlefield.
The skies are shifting, the forecast is uncertain, and a new campaign begins.
See you on the battlefield, Commanders!
