Xreal debuts sub-brand X by Xreal with new AR glasses

Xreal, the maker of lightweight XR hardware, announced the launch of its accessible and inclusive sub-brand X By Xreal, or xbx, alongside the debut of its first AR glasses in the series, a01.

X By Xreal’s a01 features a class-leading 1600-nit HDR10 ultra-bright display — the brightest in
this category. It also offers the lightest frame in this category, coming in at an ultra-light 62g.

Additionally, a01 delivers a highly stable anti-shake mode and customizable interchangeable
front frames. The a01 represents the most feature-rich AR glasses at an accessible pricepoint,
turning an immersive spatial big-screen experience into something fun, effortless, and realistic
for everyday life.

The new X By Xreal brand is focused on the pursuit of passion, self-expression, and creativity. It aims to create devices that enable people to immerse themselves freely in the worlds they love, the company said.

interchangeable front-frame design. Borrowing from Xreal’s chromatic dimming features, users
can switch between transparent and immersive viewing scenarios, while also changing the
device’s front frame based on their outfit, mood, or personal style, Xreal said.

The a01 is a stylish accessory that feels natural to wear inside or outside. Its customizable design ensures wearers can express themselves freely and experience new ways to enjoy

heavy, tiring, and difficult to wear for extended periods — a01 sets a new industry benchmark for lightweight AR hardware, bringing the total device weight down to an impressive 62 grams.

a01 uses a custom ultra-light nylon body and reduces the lens thickness. Combined with a
newly designed hinge and temple-tip structure, the product achieves full-chain physical
slimming and weight reduction across materials, structure, and internal stacking.
