This Month in Sea of Thieves: July 2026

Once July’s calendar of activities kicks off, there’s barely a day going spare that doesn’t have something to divert your attention – and maybe help you earn a few rewards along the way. So, in the interests of keeping this intro brief when we have so much to tell you about, let’s get on with it, shall we?Fight Nights – Tuesdays, from July 14thAnother favoured Event for PvP-minded crews makes a return this month, offering up increased Allegiance for every battle won – or lost – when you set out on behalf of your chosen Faction. Rather than the usual weekend-long Fight Nights sessions you’ve experienced before, things are a little different now: Fight Nights will last for 24 hours, but will return every week as part of Sea of Thieves’ recurring Live Event calendar. The only exceptions will be during weeks in which Last Ship Standing is also active, to ensure that the two Events don’t get in each other’s way and that all ship types have the same chance to earn their crews that all-important extra Allegiance.‘Last Ship Standing’ Release – Friday, July 17thIn the midst of a six-ship battle, it’s not always that easy to stop and enjoy the musical score rising around you. Fortunately, you’ll no longer have to! From July 17th, you’ll be able to listen to ‘Last Ship Standing’, the backing music of the titular battles, on all the usual streaming platforms at your leisure. Maybe you’ll be able to better appreciate the bridges and crescendos when you’re not frantically bailing water out of a sinking ship.Bilge Rats Weekender – Friday, July 17th – Monday, July 20thThe third Bilge Rats Weekender is on the horizon! Once again you’ll be able to enjoy all the associated Challenges, Voyages, Firework Displays and a wealth of Doubloons ready to be earned. Legendary Message in a Bottle Voyages will be washing up on shorelines during this Bilge Rats Weekender, and crews selling their loot to Athena’s Fortune can find themselves earning a lot more gold and reputation than usual. Even better, completing enough Legendary Message in a Bottle Voyages before the Event ends will reward you with a bonus purse of Doubloons for your efforts.July Game Update – Thursday, July 23rdThough Sea of Thieves is no longer set to follow the three-Act structure that we’ve used in previous Seasons, that doesn’t mean monthly updates are a thing of the past.
