# Designer's Comments

Since the Onslaught Mode Beta launched with the April 16 update, we have received a tremendous amount of feedback from the community.

Based on that feedback, below is what we are applying in this patch and what we currently have planned.

Difficulty and play time adjustments are on the way.

After reviewing both play data and feedback, we found that the Wave structure in Stages 2 and 3 in particular, felt too slow-paced.

In the April 23rd patch, we will be reducing the number of Waves in Stages 2 and 3 to shorten overall play time.

We will keep the challenging difficulty direction intact while making each run feel more comfortable to get through.

Rewards for the full release will be getting a boost.

In the full release, rewards that guarantee the Option Tier of Ancestors Modules will be added.

This is something we have been working on to ensure that completing higher Stages of Onslaught comes with rewards that truly match the effort.

The reason these rewards were not included during the Beta was to first gather real play data so we could properly design the value and balance of the rewards.

We have also seen feedback that rewards feel too scarce when failing mid-wave, and have increased some rewards for those stages in this patch.

Since Onslaught has a higher failure rate and longer play time than most existing content, this adjustment was made to ensure players can feel a meaningful level of reward even throughout the challenge itself.

We will continue to review further adjustments as needed, based on play data and feedback going forward.

In the May full release, we plan to refine the mode further alongside the difficulty and reward improvements mentioned above.

Improvements to the game mode itself will be communicated separately when the Beta period ends.

- Changed the number of Waves in Onslaught Mode Stages 2 and 3 to 7 Waves.

- Increased the "Superconductive Cooling Unit" wave rewards for Onslaught Mode Stages 2 and 3.
