⭐ Explanation of the Progress System

We’ve noticed in some of your reviews, comments, and chats that we haven’t explained the progress system well enough. Comments like “The hollow jet nozzle wobbles way too much!” or “Stamina runs out too quickly!” are not uncommon.

However, this is not a bug, it’s intentional:

We’ve tried to make the game as realistic as possible. The player starts as a “rookie” at the Mülheim fire station and is therefore very inexperienced and has low stamina at the beginning. As the game progresses, however, the player is meant to become stronger, more enduring, and more experienced in handling the various pieces of equipment.

That’s why we’ve built in a progression system that symbolizes your character’s experience as a firefighter.

At first, due to the high pressure, you can barely hold the hose straight, and it wobbles a lot. It’s hard to “steer” it!

However, the more you use the hollow-jet nozzle, for example, to extinguish fires or open doors with the Halligan tool, the better your character becomes at handling it.

We display this via the “Experience” bar, which appears in the top-right corner of the UI when you perform relevant activities.

Once the green circle is completely filled, you’ve earned enough experience for the day and will level up when you switch to the next shift! The result: You can now open doors in the blink of an eye, and keeping the hollow jet nozzle steady is no longer a problem.

But you can do more than just practice using your equipment, you can also build up your physical strength by hitting the treadmill, using the weight bench, or hopping on the stationary bike in the gym. This also boosts your physical attributes, meaning that your stamina, for example, depletes much more slowly!

Next time, keep an eye on your experience bar and find out which skills you can improve while playing! Press the “M” key and then click on the “Character” tab to view your current progress at any time!

We hope you enjoy Patch 1 and, as always, we look forward to hearing your feedback! ????❤️

Have fun playing and stay safe out there!
