New Slay the Spire 2 patch adds keyboard-only mode, lots of balance changes, and one major buff: "Finally I won't be humiliated by Turn 1 Bowlbugs"

A new Slay the Spire 2 patch has shuffled into the deckbuilding roguelike's beta branch, bringing with it your usual torrent of bug fixes and balance tweaks that are sure to reframe certain builds, alongside a quite nice keyboard-only mode. Mega Crit rounds up the biggest changes in v0.110.0 pretty succinctly: "Mirage and Pillar of Creation have been reverted back to their pre-0.109.0 versions and have also been slightly buffed and nerfed, respectively. We've also implemented a brand new feature in this patch – a keyboard-only control option! So be sure to let us know what you think if you try it out. In terms of art, many cards have new, polished portrait art and, excitingly, characters now have VFX for their unique forms!" But perhaps the handiest balance change is creeping silently in the new Slay the Spire 2 patch notes: "Buffed Pael's Relax card: Block increased from 15(17) → 16(18)." Fighting Bowlbugs should no longer serve as a big block-counting barrier in Act 2, at least, not as often, fingers crossed. "Relax buffed? Finally I won't be humiliated by Turn 1 Bowlbugs," one fan reacts over on Reddit. "I think it's in a completely fine spot now, I don't want every relic to be busted," another says, "I think people undervalue Relax by treating it like a block card instead of a delayed Offering, too." Elsewhere, skulking in the corners of the change notes, developer Mega Crit has tweaked Uncommon cards so they show up more often "(as intended)" and players will "no longer discern the shuffle order of cards in certain scenarios." There's also now a Share button that screenshots the entire map, a bug fix that stops a monster egg from hatching in the Bestiary, and new art for a collection of cards. Slay the Spire 2 just got its biggest patch yet, with so many new relics, buffed cards, and massive nerfs that players barely know where to start. [/url]
