Marathon Open Play Week and Progression Update

We are extending Marathon’s Open Play Week until June 11.  We’ll also be gifting 50 SILK to everyone who logs in during the Open Play Week. We know the downtime interrupted not just your runs but your plans, and we want to recognize that inconvenience. SILK will be delivered via the in-game mailbox and can be claimed any time before Open Play Week ends at 10AM PT on June 11.  Ban Wave We’ve issued a ban wave on accounts confirmed to be cheating in Marathon. For more information on our account restriction and banning policies, please review our Game Account Restrictions and Banning Policies here: Bungie Game Account Restrictions and Banning Policies. As a reminder, players who knowingly benefit from cheating or continue playing with cheaters may also be subject to account actions, up to and including a full game ban. If you suspect a player is cheating, please use the in-game report system when possible. If you’re unable to report in-game, you can also submit a report here: Report Suspected Cheating and Poor Behavior.  PlayStation Store Deluxe Edition clarification We've been made aware of an issue on the PlayStation store where players could purchase the Deluxe Edition of Marathon at a mitigated price if they added Marathon to their library during the Open Play Week. Purchasing the Deluxe Edition this way does not include the base game, and we've updated the PlayStation Store messaging to clarify.  For those of you that made this purchase before the messaging was posted on the store page, we'll be granting you the base edition of Marathon at no additional cost. This is in addition to the Deluxe Edition content. More info on timing will come soon.  Going forward, please note that if you've downloaded Marathon during the Open Play Week but have not purchased Marathon, purchasing the Deluxe Edition upgrade will only grant you access to the Deluxe Edition content for the duration of the Open Play Week, after which accessing this content will require purchase of the Marathon base edition. The price of the Deluxe Edition upgrade on the PlayStation Store reflects only the Deluxe Edition content add-ons, not the base edition price.  Progression Fixes We have identified some issues affecting the progression systems and loot economy and will be rolling out a few fixes:  Cert containers: Fixing an issue causing more Cert containers to spawn than intended in Night Marsh. Cradle: Given the increased quality and quantity of loot, we've increased progression costs by 25%. We are also still tracking down more issues and will be adjusting loot drops globally while we investigate. We want loot to feel rewarding, but also not flood the economy with too many powerful items early in the season. We'll continue to monitor these systems and feedback closely throughout the season.
