For its first five months, Infinity Nikki earned a lot of goodwill through consistent updates, constant improvement, and favorable gacha mechanics. It all changed in late April 2025, when Version 1.5 launched to near-universal backlash, as the game's beloved prologue got removed, a controversial dye system was introduced, and severe technical issues plagued the player experience.
