How to increase Inventory Space in Marathon
Marathon actively centers around loot that you get from your runs, and it's an important task to manage your inventory to keep more items with you. When you begin, the inventory size won't be much of an issue. You can keep going on your run and bring you new loot as much as you can. However, the limited inventory starts to become an issue once you're past the initial stage. A few runs with Sponsored kits quickly add to the list of items you have (as long as you manage to complete the run without getting killed). Thankfully, there's a fix for the limited inventory (vault space).Table of contentsHow to increase your Vault size in MarathonHow to increase backpack size in MarathonHow to increase your Vault size in Marathon Your vault is your main inventory where you store all your stuff. By default, you can keep 160 items on it. To bypass this limit, you'll need the Expansion upgrade offered by the CyberAcme faction. Getting this upgrade isn't too difficult as long as you have sufficient credits. Screenshot by Destructoid You can expand your vault space five times in total (could change in the future). To complete the upgrades, you'll need more Credits and resources.Upgrade levelEffectCost1+8 rows2500 Credits12 Unstable Diode2+8 rows4000 Credits22 Unstable Diode12 Unstable Gunmetal3+6 rows5000 Credits27 Unstable Diode15 Unstable Gunmetal4+4 rows7000 Credits30 Unstable Diode18 Unstable Gunmetal5+4 rows10000 Credits50 Unstable Diode30 Unstable Gunmetal While getting all the upgrades is expensive, I would recommend getting the first two done as quickly as possible if you're running out of Vault space. You can get the latter once you've earned more resources and have that many items in your loadout to begin with. How to increase backpack size in Marathon Your backpack size determines how many items you can carry on your run. The default backpack is pretty small, but you can expand it using upgraded versions. The enhanced backpacks can be purchased from the armory. You can also do them by completing certain contracts, reaching character rank milestones, and more. Screenshot by Destructoid Do note that Sponsored loadouts don't have any enhanced backpack. However, you can find and equip them on your run to trigger the benefits.
