In any chest that meets all these requirements, this disc has about a 42 percent chance of spawning. Like most music discs, this one is fairly difficult to get your hands on since it’s got quite a few key prerequisites that must be met for it to even have a chance of spawning. Luck plays a large role in how easy or difficult it is to find. How to find a Mineshaft in Minecraft Mineshafts are fairly common underground structures that can spawn in all biomes outside of the Deep Dark. They have a 0.4 percent chance to try and generate in any chunk, which might sound low, but actually makes them one of the most common structures in the overworld. Since this also means that they can spawn just about any available underground area, your odds of coming across one that’s actually within a Sulfur Cave are somewhat low, as they may just choose another nearby biome to pop up in. Unfortunately, there’s no way to specifically search for a Mineshaft within a Sulfur Caves biome. You can, however, use two separate cheat commands to try and pinpoint one. /locate structure minecraft:mineshaft /locate biome minecraft:sulfur_caves Screenshot by Destructoid You can use these commands in any order. Generally, though, Sulfur Caves seem to be a bit less common, so I recommend starting there. Once you’ve found this biome, enter the Mineshaft cheat to see if there’s one within the nearby area. Then, make your way to it and check it out to see if it seems to be within the bounds of the Sulfur Caves biome. You can tell whether or not the Mineshaft is within the Sulfur Caves region based on the blocks and mobs around it. If you see blocks like Sulfur or Cinnabar or come across a Sulfur Cube, you’ve found one. If not, you’ll have to keep searching. And if you’re unsure because you don’t see any signature blocks or mobs from the biome, explore the Mineshaft thoroughly anyway to check all the chests just in case.
