How to combine the Abyss Cell in Crimson Desert

The Abyss Without Balance quest in the first chapter of Crimson Desert requires you to combine/synthesize the Abyss Cell, and it can be slightly confusing when you first look at it. You'll first come across the Abyss in the Prologue itself, but you have to wait for a few more quests before you get to synthesize the cell. Once you've reached the Abyss and navigated past the two elevator platforms, you'll find the first Abyss Nexus. Activate the Nexus, and you'll be able to use your Axiom Force to complete the synthesization process.
