The GWR HST Farewell Pack

As a tribute to the HST’s final years in service with GWR, as well as a celebration of 200 years of modern railways, the HST Farewell Tour Add-on will feature new timetable services, thrilling scenarios, and include seven iconic HST power car designs that were worn by the GWR HST’s, along with two Mk1 HST Barrier Coach designs.



Here's a full summary of the power car designs within the pack:

• Class 43 power car 43002 ‘Sir Kenneth Grange’ (BR Blue and Yellow with nameplate)

• Class 43 power car 43093 ‘Old Oak Common’ (GWR Green with OOC vinyl & nameplate)

• Class 43 power car 43185 ‘Great Western’ (InterCity Swallow with nameplate)

• Class 43 power car 43187 & 43188 ‘Welshman’ (GWR Green with white dragon vinyl)

• Class 43 power car 43188 ‘Welshman’ (GWR Green with yellow dragon vinyl)

• Class 43 power cars (GWR Green with vinyl ‘GWR’ logo)

• Class 43 power cars (GWR Green unbranded)

In addition to the designs above, the Mk1 HST Barrier Coach will also be available in both blue and green liveries, featuring buckeye and hook coupler types, allowing players to perform stock moves between the HST’s and a wide range of stock in TSW. You will also be able to hand place end of train lamps on the Class 43s, Mk3 coaches and the barrier coaches.

Scenarios & Services

The pack will contain six scenarios, all inspired by real-world events, ranging from depot open days to helping crowds of passengers from Dawlish get to the air show while keeping your cool on a hot and busy day. Keep an eye to the skies!

From the first passenger run of ‘43002’ in BR Blue, to the unveiling of ‘43093’ at the Old Oak Common depot open day, and of course the final HST runs out of Paddington. These scenarios have been made as authentically as possible, even on the smaller details, such as creating dynamic weather patterns based on the real-world weather of the day the scenario is based on, timings that match the train's schedule that day, and even exact unit numbers where possible.

Taking a close look at the timetable, as a general note, all of the seven power cars will substitute into any existing GWR HST service across Train Sim World 6, both for player-driven and AI. Extra unique services are also included for both the Great Western Express Remaster and Riviera Line routes, that make additional use of the power cars and the Mk1 HST Barrier Coaches, giving players the opportunity to drive empty stock moves using the new stock.

Alongside the release of the HST Farewell Tour from Grump Dog Games, we also have a range of supporting improvements for a few UK-based add-ons, primarily for the Great Western Express Remastered, and including the Riviera Line, East Coastway Remastered and Diesel Legends of the Great Western Add-ons. Great Western Express Remastered

• Prevented rail‑singing from triggering when the player is standing next to the consist. 

• Ensures consistent behaviour across all rail vehicles that use rail‑singing 

• Fixed an issue causing passengers to walk across the tracks between Paddington platforms 9 & 10 

• Fixed passenger navigation on bridges at Hayes & Harlington and Ealing Broadway

• Adjusted speed of aggregate unloaders, allowing the ‘Aggregate Industries’ scenario to be completed

• Corrected incorrect speed signs at the entrance to North Pole Depot

• Fixed areas of snow incorrectly appearing at West Drayton

• Fixes to ensure services 1P26 and 1P41 are now drivable

• Fixes to Class 66 scenarios where headlight instructions displayed incorrectly, and brakes failed to auto cut-in

• Fixed pathing issues causing SPADs, affecting multiple services, including preventing freight services

• Fixed a passenger sitting in front of the player in the ‘Down the Line’ scenario

• Fixed various issues with the substitution for the Class 166

• Minor changes to reduce memory usage

GWR HST

• Added lighting to the AWS sunflower

• Fixed guard panel visibility at night

• Fixed custom liveries appearing fully white in snowy conditions

• Fixed custom liveries appearing transparent at times

• Improved suspension stability, especially on Xbox One / PS4

• Tweaked internal running noise, for greater difference between minimum and maximum bleed‑in

• Increased external sound bleed when doors are open

• Increased audibility of MK3 coach low‑speed squeaks

• Implemented rail‑singing optimisation to prevent duplicate sound spawning

• Fixed missing AWS isolation fuse click

• Fixed missing VHID audio references so all cab sounds play correctly

GWR Class 166

• Corrected wiper direction

• Added lighting to the AWS sunflower

• Updated Passenger Door Interlock indicator logic - Light now illuminates when doors are interlocked, not when unlocked

• Fixed cab emissive lighting not updating when changing headlights in one cab

DBS Class 66   

• Added missing AWS isolation fuse click audio

• Implemented rail‑singing optimisation to prevent duplicate sound spawning

• Corrected overly bright cab emissive materials

• Fixed mismatched numbering on the DBS livery

East Coastway Remastered
Class 313

• Removed incorrect or unused entries appearing in the Formation Spawn menu. 

ECW Class 171

• Various localisation improvements

Riviera Line 

• Corrected Action Point scoring in the ‘From Beaches to Banks’ scenario.

Diesel Legends of the Great Western

• Optimised rail‑singing audio across the BR Class 101 and BR Mk2 coaches
