Complete Deltarune Chapter 5 Weird Route walkthrough

Chapter 5 in Deltarune has a cool story for you to explore, but there’s a new Weird Route episode also available. If you endured a Weird Route ending in the previous chapter, you can continue on the save (goes back all the way to Chapter 2). Doing so allows you to get the Weird Ending, aka Chapter 7 Side B. However, you can also stop it if you like. Here, you’ll wake up in your bed, unable to move. Kris’ mother Toriel will wake him up, saying that there’s some Honey Toast for him in the kitchen. Screenshot by Destructoid To move, repeatedly spam the movement buttons. At first, Kris won’t move. Keep pressing the buttons, and he will eventually twitch. He will crawl down from his bed, and finally stand up. Screenshot by Destructoid As you move out of your room, your movement speed will be extremely slow. You’ll then meet Susie outside your house. She will discuss seeing the festival with you, despite already having experienced it with Noelle. At this point, your normal movement speed will be restored. Screenshot by Destructoid Before heading to the beach, go south and then turn right. If you see the big festival gate, you’re at the correct spot. Head to the east, and get ice cream from Sam. This is necessary for the Weird Route ending. Screenshot by Destructoid Next, head to the beach. Susie will inform that Noelle has been waiting for you. As you approach Noelle, she will start to behave in a strange fashion. She will briefly discuss what has happened to her, before claiming that you (Kris) are no longer the same. Screenshot by Destructoid Finally, she proposes that she wants to do something crazy, and she will do anything if Kris asks her to. She then proposes to see the other side of the lake and to find out what waits over there. Screenshot by Destructoid At this point, you have two options. You can repeatedly press the Stop option, and this will prevent you from going to the water. The next scene begins with you (Kris) lying on the table while Susie and Noelle are speaking with one another. This is precisely what happens with the normal version of the game when we wake up from your slumber. Screenshot by Destructoid If you choose to go with the weird ending, choose Proceed. Keep pressing Proceed whenever the option pops up, and Noelle will keep dragging you to the center of the lake. Ultimately, you’ll end up with the Insert Chapter 7 Side B message popping up on your screen. Screenshot by Destructoid However, you must always select Proceed as soon as the option pops up. If you’re slow, the game seems to decide that you don’t want to Weird Route ending. As a result, you’ll end up with the same occurrences that occur in the normal version of the game. In that ending, “A Noelle remains a Noelle”. If you want to enjoy the Weird Route in the next chapter, I advise creating a save with the Weird Route ending in Chapter 5.
