Can you increase inventory and carry capacity in Dune Awakening?

Your carry capacity and inventory in Dune Awakening starts off limited to 35 slots and 175 pounds of weight, which is a respectable amount, but clearly could be more, especially when you're going on long journeys around the Hagga Basin looking to acquire large amounts of resources. Sadly there's no way at time of writing to directly increase your carry capacity specifically in Dune Awakening, but there are options that can effectively serve a similar purpose, as I'll explain below. Can you increase your Dune Awakening inventory? (Image credit: Funcom) While there's no way at time of writing to increase either the number of slots or the maximum carry capacity weight of your inventory, such as the various Dune Awakening Skills, you can at least move more items around at once by building greater Inventory Modules for various vehicles, and then using those vehicles frequently. Pretty much all of the Dune Awakening vehicles have a built-in inventory that can be expanded even further by adding an Inventory module to it (researched as normal and then built in the Vehicle Fabricator). There are limits to this, but it serves as a way to transport far greater amounts of items. The major limitation is that any vehicle with items in its inventory cannot be stored on you using the Vehicle Backup Tool. You need to empty its inventory before you can effectively pocket it, but if you feel brave enough to park your Sandbike or Ornithopter outside a bandit camp or crashed ship, you can then bring the loot you find back to it and store it in the trunk. It's not been made clear if there'll be new ways to hold more items added to the game in the future, as the choice to make inventory so limited is clearly an intentional one that's part of the whole "struggling survivalist making hard choices" vibe. © GamesRadar+.
