Apology Regarding the Skill Description Error for Eternal Promise: Carmen

Greetings, Captains. This is StarSavior Director Lee Sungwon. First, I sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused by the skill description error when the Half-Anniversary update was meant to be an enjoyable experience for all Captains. An issue occurred in which some mechanics were omitted from the Unique Passive description of the new Savior Eternal Promise: Carmen, added through the Half-Anniversary update on Thursday, May 28. As a result, the in-game skill description did not match the actual in-game behavior.Eternal Promise: Carmen was designed as a Savior who restores the HP of all allies when using her Basic Skill. If Chill is at max stacks at that time, she consumes all Chill stacks, and as a bonus for doing so, doubles the amount restored.During the development process for this Half-Anniversary update, we occasionally used simplified internal terminology in order to efficiently review and communicate the skill structures of multiple Saviors. This issue occurred while converting that internal wording into an in-game description and proofreading it according to the actual in-game text format, during which the detail that all Chill stacks are consumed at max stacks was omitted. As a result, the in-game skill description was displayed differently from the actual implemented mechanic, and the same incorrect information was also included in the patch notes, which were written based on the in-game text.In particular, we understand that Captains who interpreted the skill as maintaining the Boost effect without consuming it may feel that the current behavior is effectively a nerf. This issue occurred because I did not oversee the skill description drafting and final verification process thoroughly enough. I sincerely apologize.Although it is late, we are currently reorganizing our skill mechanic review process. In particular, for major mechanics that commonly affect all Saviors, such as Boost effects, we will incorporate a more rigorous review step into our development pipeline. As mentioned above, we will work to ensure that critical omissions caused by differences between simplified internal wording and actual in-game descriptions do not happen again. Going forward, even during the development process, development and QA are conducted against a unified standard, ensuring in-game descriptions and implemented mechanics are always aligned. The Unique Passive description for Eternal Promise: Carmen will be revised to match the mechanic currently implemented in-game. This change is scheduled to be applied through the update planned for June 4.We should have shared this information sooner, but it took time to accurately verify the work process and identify where the issue occurred. We also take seriously the frustration that Captains may have felt while waiting during this process.Once again, we sincerely apologize to all Captains who joined us for the Half-Anniversary update. As an apology to Captains who experienced inconvenience due to this issue, we plan to send the following compensation to all Captains after the June 4 update.• 2,000 StellagemsThis compensation will also be available to Captains who create an account by June 11 at 19:00 UTC, when the event ends.We deeply apologize for not meeting the trust Captains have placed in us due to the repeated inaccuracies in our communications. We will take this incident as an opportunity to reorganize our review process for actual skill mechanics and descriptions, and we will do our best to prevent the same confusion from happening again.Once again, we sincerely apologize to all Captains.StarSavior DirectorLee Sungwon

As a result, the in-game skill description did not match the actual in-game behavior.

Eternal Promise: Carmen was designed as a Savior who restores the HP of all allies when using her Basic Skill. If Chill is at max stacks at that time, she consumes all Chill stacks, and as a bonus for doing so, doubles the amount restored.

During the development process for this Half-Anniversary update, we occasionally used simplified internal terminology in order to efficiently review and communicate the skill structures of multiple Saviors. This issue occurred while converting that internal wording into an in-game description and proofreading it according to the actual in-game text format, during which the detail that all Chill stacks are consumed at max stacks was omitted.

As a result, the in-game skill description was displayed differently from the actual implemented mechanic, and the same incorrect information was also included in the patch notes, which were written based on the in-game text.

In particular, we understand that Captains who interpreted the skill as maintaining the Boost effect without consuming it may feel that the current behavior is effectively a nerf. This issue occurred because I did not oversee the skill description drafting and final verification process thoroughly enough. I sincerely apologize.

Although it is late, we are currently reorganizing our skill mechanic review process.

This change is scheduled to be applied through the update planned for June 4.

We should have shared this information sooner, but it took time to accurately verify the work process and identify where the issue occurred. We also take seriously the frustration that Captains may have felt while waiting during this process.

Once again, we sincerely apologize to all Captains who joined us for the Half-Anniversary update.

As an apology to Captains who experienced inconvenience due to this issue, we plan to send the following compensation to all Captains after the June 4 update.

2,000 Stellagems

This compensation will also be available to Captains who create an account by June 11 at 19:00 UTC, when the event ends.

We deeply apologize for not meeting the trust Captains have placed in us due to the repeated inaccuracies in our communications.

We will take this incident as an opportunity to reorganize our review process for actual skill mechanics and descriptions, and we will do our best to prevent the same confusion from happening again.

Once again, we sincerely apologize to all Captains.
