Hello everyone!
On September 1st, the regular monthly update release of tModLoader for 1.4.4 will go live. Some notable features include enabling 'content descriptors' on Steam Workshop and a simplified API for adding flails in mods.
As mentioned previously, the tModLoader team has been spending most of our efforts working on updating tModLoader to the latest Terraria 1.4.5 update - including 1.4.5.8. We are continuing to see a huge amount of community participation and contributions for the 1.4.5 update and are extremely grateful for those willing to help with this process through code contributions, bug reporting, testing, and participating in the discussions that take place on Discord. The tModLoader team will continue to work with experienced modders to progress towards the tModLoader 1.4.5 release.
This process as well as any other big changes desired by the modding community for this update will take many months still. We look forward to seeing how mods make use of these new features. As always, if you are having issues of any sort, definitely don't hesitate to check out our FAQ on github or reach out to us at our Discord.

Hello Terrarians!
As you know by now, Terraria 1.4.5.7 released for PC about a week ago. In parallel, we have prepared the Console and Mobile builds for submission and that process is underway. Once we hear back from the various first parties, we will be able to bring the latest Terraria update to everyone else. The intent was to make this a simultaneous update, but that just wasn't feasible this time due to the travel and such. Speaking of, the joint planning session with Re-Logic this week was amazing, helping to set the future of Terraria in place.
So, no spoilers this month - just an update that 1.4.5.7 (and 1.4.5.8) is coming very soon and this week was a great one!

Until next time, Console & Mobile friends - thanks for all of your love and support!

Here's the latest and greatest happenings on the Community side of things. Thanks as always for being the most engaged and awesome gaming Community ever!

We are rapidly nearing the end of the road for preorders for the Terraria Collector's Edition! Now is the time to get yours in if you want to secure one of these for yourself. There is a good chance that we will have some extras due to how these have to be ordered, but once those are sold out, that's it!
(We have had some discussions around if we should make SOMETHING available more long term - but let us know what you think?)
Check out the details by clicking the banner above!

The latest partner in the world of Terraria - Steady Hands - released their initial collection last week, and there is a lot here! If you are not familiar with Steady Hands, they are a small, independent clothing brand with a focus on cut and sew clothing and designs. This results in some pretty unique designs and product types (sweaters and cardigans anyone?) that we have not had previously. Check out the full collection by clicking the banner below and pick up anything that catches your eye today!

The Terraria community is filled with incredible fan media. We love to browse Terraria associated social pages and check out the creative minds sharing wonderful creations. We wanted to spotlight some of the trending media that caught our attention this month. Please let us know if any of the shared media has a different original creator.
