Cross-Map Play FAQI. Single-Player Cross-Map PlayQ: How can I transfer saves across maps in single-player?A: You can move saves between maps using the in-game inheritance feature when creating a new save, or the official transfer tool. (For now, only character data can be transferred—your main character, level, mask, tech tree, and recruited tribesmen. Buildings, resources, and other world data can't be transferred.)How to Use the Save Transfer Tool :https://discord.com/channels/1160486185840418927/1253684240634351618/1491387952805449768II. Cross-Map Play on Official & Private ServersI. Basic Cross-Map Play RulesQ: When will cross-map play open for the “Cloud Mist Forest” and “Shifting Sands” DLC maps? Do both PvP and PvE servers support cross-map play?A: There are no specific time restrictions on cross-map play—you can switch maps anytime. Currently, PvE servers support this feature, with three map servers per group: one "Cloud Mist Forest" server and two "Shifting Sands" servers, all linked together. Due to balance considerations, cross-map interoperability is not fully available on PvP servers for the time being. We will attempt to launch a small number of interoperable servers for testing purposes.(Cross-map feature launches alongside cross-server play.)Q: Is there a character level requirement for cross-map play?A: There are no character level requirements. All players can access cross-map play without extra requirements.Q: How do I use cross-map play feature on official servers?A: Use the giant Cross-Server Portal on the bottom-left corner of the map to switch maps.Q: Once cross-map play is active, does Awareness Level carry over? Do I need to level up again in the “Shifting Sands” DLC map?A: Levels transfer in full. Whether you gained levels in “Cloud Mist Forest” or unlocked them in the “Shifting Sands” DLC, all progress will transferred after switching maps—no need to grind those levels again.Note: this level carryover only applies to new servers launched after the 1.0 full release. All official server data from EA will be wiped at 1.0 launch and will not be included in this carryover.Q: Are tech tree nodes shared across maps? How do I unlock exclusive tech tree nodes in the “Shifting Sands” DLC? Can they be used on the “Cloud Mist Forest” map?A: Basic tech tree nodes are shared across all maps. Tech nodes unlocked in “Cloud Mist Forest” can be used directly on the “Shifting Sands” map. However, “Shifting Sands” exclusive tech nodes must be unlocked on that map before they can be activated, and they only work in “Shifting Sands,” not in “Cloud Mist Forest.”Q: How do private servers support cross-map play?A: Private servers also support this feature and can be configured by server owners for cross-map play. The detailed cross-map play rules are the same as on official servers (see below).Cross‑Map Private Server Setup Guide:https://discord.com/channels/1160486185840418927/1248101942211903608/1491389085451812976II. Mask / Tribesmen Cross-Map Play RulesQ: Can masks from the base game and “Shifting Sands” be used across maps? For example, can I use the Eternity Torch to challenge the DLC boss, or fly in “Cloud Mist Forest” with the Eye of Horus Mask?A: Yep—all masks will travel with you across maps! Just note that the Eye of Horus Mask's “Flight” ability only works in “Shifting Sands,” not in “Cloud Mist Forest.” Everything else works the same on all maps.Q: Does the “Shifting Sands” DLC add any tribesmen with exclusive talents or professions? Can I take them into “Cloud Mist Forest”?A: The “Shifting Sands” DLC will add Egyptian Civilization-specific exclusive talents and profession types for tribesmen. Every Tribesman—including the ones from “Cloud Mist Forest” and the “Shifting Sands” DLC-exclusive ones—can move across maps with their stats and skills fully preserved, so they can fight and work normally in both maps.III. Mount & Item Cross-Map Play RulesQ: Can I take mounts and items from “Cloud Mist Forest” into the “Shifting Sands” DLC? And can “Shifting Sands” exclusives—like the Anti-Gravity Airship and Phase Anchor—be brought back to “Cloud Mist Forest”?A: ① All mounts and regular items

Q: Can I take mounts and items from “Cloud Mist Forest” into the “Shifting Sands” DLC? And can “Shifting Sands” exclusives—like the Anti-Gravity Airship and Phase Anchor—be brought back to “Cloud Mist Forest”?
A: ① All mounts and regular items from “Cloud Mist Forest” can go with you across maps and used normally.
A: ② Some exclusive items are map-locked: For example, “Ships” and their related gear from the “Shifting Sands” DLC—like Cannons, Energy Shield, and Vessel Structures—plus the “Phase Anchor,” only work in “Shifting Sands.” Meanwhile, the “Mysterious Mark” is locked to “Cloud Mist Forest” only.
Note: In multiplayer, if you don't own “Soulmask: Shifting Sands,” you can still use DLC-exclusive items—but you won't be able to craft or unlock their matching recipes.
Q: If I don't own the “Shifting Sands” DLC, can I still ride a DLC-exclusive mount someone else brought back to “Cloud Mist Forest”?
A: Yes! As long as someone in your tribe brings the DLC-exclusive mount back to the “Cloud Mist Forest” map, you can ride it.
Q: Can I set up a base in both “Cloud Mist Forest” and “Shifting Sands” at once? Is the Bonfire's Max limit still 6?
A: Separate bases can be set up on both maps! Bonfire limits are counted per map (each map still has a limit of 6 bonfires). The two maps don't share bonfire counts, so you can build each base your own way.
Q: Does my tribe stay with me across maps? Do I need to make or join a tribe again in “Shifting Sands”?
A: Your tribe goes with you across maps! No need to create or join it again in the “Shifting Sands” DLC map. After you switch maps, your tribe membership is fully preserved, so you can group up with tribe members on either map and keep all tribe permissions (just like the current cross-server tribe rules).
Q: If items glitch out or skills stop working after cross-map play, what should I do?
A: If something goes wrong with cross-map play, please notify support and the team will look into it right away.

Q: Will cross-map rules be adjusted later? What should I refer to for the latest rules?
A: The current cross-map play rules are set by the current version. If any optimizations or changes are made later, please refer to the official update notice or the additional FAQ. Stay tuned for official announcements~
Offical servers for South America and Australia will no longer be available in the official 1.0 release.
This adjustment is primarily made because, following the Soulmask 1.0 update, we need to re-evaluate server numbers and player demand across different regions. With operational efficiency also taken into consideration, we have decided to launch servers in Asia, America and Europe at this stage.
Moving forward, we will continue to monitor player online data and community feedback from all regions. Once a sufficient player base is established, we will prioritize evaluating plans to add new South America and Australia servers accordingly.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this adjustment may bring to our players, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support.
To ensure stable server performance, limits will be applied to the number of buildable parts on shipss in official servers:
Thatch Boat: 4 buildable parts
Small Wooden Boat: 30 buildable parts
Falcon-class Airship: 60 buildable parts
Shark-class Flying Ship: 100 buildable parts
