The Dragon Rises — Step Into the Three Kingdoms!
Dear Generals, I greet you as if we were meeting in person. I am Jiang Bing, producer of The Three Kingdoms: Rebirth. First, allow me to offer you a sincere apology: we are sorry for being late. After two years of hard work, I can finally take a deep breath and announce to you all with pride: The Three Kingdoms: Rebirth officially launches on April 28! From drafting the very first design document, to filming the opening scene, to overturning and rewriting code logic in the dead of night, to the anxiety of watching production bills pile up like drifting snow — through these seven hundred-plus days and nights, we have weathered countless storms. We've endured sleepless nights, run out of funds, stumbled into pitfalls, made painful sacrifices, and spent many nights wide awake with worry. Now, looking back, even I can hardly believe that we pulled through, step by step, driven by nothing but sheer determination. "Three Kingdoms of iron, soldiers of flowing water." Over these two years, people have come and gone in my dreams. Many times I thought, "That's enough, let it be, stop holding on." But the conviction to create something of quality ultimately overcame every urge to retreat. So when I heard the line in the song Rebellion — "I will make this world, these people, all understand my solitary shadow" — it resonated deeply within me. That has been our unwavering commitment over these two years. This is my first interactive film production, and more than that, an adventure into a parallel Three Kingdoms. When I chose this path without hesitation, I had two reasons: first, I wanted to forge a new road for the thousands upon thousands of my brothers and sisters in the film and television industry, just like me; second, having grown up playing Japanese Three Kingdoms games, I always dreamed of creating a Three Kingdoms game that the world would see — one that truly belongs to the Chinese people. I often imagine myself transported back to that tumultuous era, watching Xiao Qiao as a new bride, sharing wine with Lord Cao and debating who truly deserves the title of hero. I want to bring this passion to every player, to present an unconventional Three Kingdoms — one that does not reference the original novel or historical records, but is simply a parallel-world adventure, starring you, shaped by your choices. I hope you will experience it with ease. "Let no one down" — these three words have always been what sustained our entire team. We know full well the weight that "Three Kingdoms" carries in your hearts, and we understand the deep sentiments you hold. That is why we resolved to create this unconventional interactive film — not as a historical reenactment, not following the path of the original, but solely to present a unique adventure in a parallel world. We dare not let down the grandeur of the era, dare not let down the full dedication of our actors, and above all, dare not let down you, the generals who have waited for us in silence for over two years. When the demo launched, our hearts were filled with trepidation. Yet the recognition and encouragement from you, our players, moved me to tears in an instant — it turned out that you saw every ounce of our effort, and that you, like us, were looking forward to this extraordinary journey through the Three Kingdoms. For the dream we held from the very beginning, we have endured every hardship that came our way. Every day I read your comments; even a single suggestion, a single nudge, has been the greatest driving force that kept me moving forward and kept us steadfast to this day. I will be honest: this game is not yet perfect. But we remember our original aspiration, and we dare to face your expectations, your critiques, and your corrections with an open heart, ready to meet you with the utmost sincerity. We firmly believe that with the experience gained over these two years, our next The Three Kingdoms title will be even better! Here, I also extend my apologies to all the actors whose wonderful scenes were edited out: in pursuit of the ultimate experience and through repeated refinement, we painfully cut some footage. But every heartfelt performance by our actors is etched in our memory, and in future installments, we will do our utmost to make up for these regrets. On this path of interactive filmmaking, we have always asked ourselves: beyond branching choices, what more can we bring to players? This time, our answer is — "We want it all." To lose yourself in the company of beauties amidst the chaos, walking hand in hand? Or to set your sights on the Central Plains and carve out an eternal legacy? In The Three Kingdoms: Rebirth, this has never been a black-and-white, single-choice question. We have prepared over thirty endings and multiple hidden narrative threads. Every cause and effect, every direction taken, rests firmly in your hands, Generals. This is the magic of interactive film — you are in control, writing your own Three Kingdoms story. Finally, from the bottom of my heart, I thank every General who has taken part in testing, left sincere suggestions, and even those who "aggressively demanded updates." It is your earnestness, your expectations, and your patience that have given this long-dormant dragon the soul it needed to truly soar. We open our arms wide and welcome every General to embark on this unconventional Three Kingdoms interactive journey — set aside your preconceptions, and unlock an adventure in a parallel world all your own.
Today we launch. May we step into the Three Kingdoms together, and pursue both love and glory as one!
