Tales of Seikyu is OUT NOW in 1.0!

Welcome to Seikyu, an island paradise filled with mystical spirits known as yokai. Guided by a scrap of paper left behind by your parents, you and your sister, Kon, move into an old farmhouse and begin uncovering the secrets of your fox spirit ancestors. Explore the countryside, delve deep into ancient ruins, get to know the villagers, master your powers of transformation, farm, ranch, fish, adopt pets, and find friendship and love in this cozy fantasy adventure filled with yokai magic!

After just over a year in Early Access, Tales of Seikyu is out now in PC 1.0! We’re so excited for new players to start their adventures and returning players to see their feedback implemented in our fantasy farming life sim. We’ve added a whole host of new features at 1.0 including marriage, festivals, a customisable fox transformation, farming automation, new romanceable villages, and more ✨

Adventure takes on many forms in Seikyu, and you’ll find just as much to do on your own doorstep than you will out in the countryside or exploring the ruins. Enjoy a slow, seasonal lifestyle, tending to your farm using your shapeshifting abilities or yokai powered automations. Grow delicious crops or take to Seikyu’s waters and fish for ingredients to cook into dishes to restore your health and stamina – or to gift to your favourite villagers (top tip: Yui loves strawberry cake!).

Life on the farm wouldn’t be complete without a couple of animal companions (and no, we’re not talking about Kon!). Adopt adorable pets such as cats, aardwolves, and lizards in all kinds of wonderful colours and watch them forage, play, and nap on your farm. You’ll even be able to ranch cows, capybara, goats, red pandas, and crested ibis for produce that can be used in crafting, cooking, and farming.



As you expand your farmhouse, you’ll find yourself with plenty of rooms to decorate! Whether you prefer a more traditional Japanese aesthetic or rustic farmhouse vibes, there’s a seemingly endless supply of furniture, decorations, and crafting stations to fill your home and heart. As the seasons change, you’ll get the chance to unwind at some of Seikyu’s beautiful festivals, celebrating everything the land and community has to offer.

Relationships are the heart of Seikyu, and you’ll be able to reach up to level 10 heart events with all of our villagers, whether you choose a romance or friendship route There’s a whole host of yokai companions to get to know, including 20 romance candidates! Get to know the strong but loveable Hephaestus, help distant daydreamer Anna lower her guard, support Yoni in her dream of becoming an idol, tame the wild Uwabami, and more.

Hang out with your favourite villagers at the hot springs or meet up for a drink in town. As your relationship progresses, you’ll unlock the ability to hug, kiss, and even invite villagers to your farmhouse for a sleepover. When the time is right, you’ll be able to declare your love to the world through marriage, and your spouse will come to live with you at the farm. If romance isn’t your bag, you can still experience each villager’s story in full via a meaningful friendship route.

Explore a sprawling countryside filled with creatures, resources, and wonder. From the top of the Tree of the Mountain Goddess to the bottom of Pearl Lake, Seikyu is just waiting to be discovered. You’ll travel to every corner of Seikyu in your quest to uncover the truth about your fox spirit ancestors, including down to the depths of the fox ruins where you’ll battle Tanuki rivals in search of the fabled transformation scrolls!

On your adventure, you’ll unlock multiple forms including the powerful boar, aquatic slime, soaring tengu, and icy Yuki-Onna, each enabling you to gather resources, defeat enemies, or traverse the world with ease. Will you be able to master your ultimate fox form and, with it, the power of spiritual possession?

Navigating the ruins won’t be easy, but there’s a wealth of armour, weapons, and accessories to collect that will help you on your journey, with even more being added in 1.0. Level up your combat skills and your shapeshifting forms and you’ll be Seikyu’s most formidable warrior in no time…just watch out for Nyotengu, we hear she’s keen to hold on to that title!


We plan on continuing to develop and support Tales of Seikyu beyond 1.0, but the size and scope of that development is very much up to YOU! It’s no secret that we’ve been all about your feedback throughout our Early Access journey and we’re still keen to hear from you now that the game has launched. Seriously, tell us everything. We want to hear it all – the good, the bad, and even the ideas that leave you thinking “nahh, it’s too crazy, they’ll never add that!”

We’ve already got some ???? romantic ???? ideas cooking for our first post 1.0 content update but these are very much subject to change based on your feedback.
