After Fortnite's battle royale became an unprecedented phenomenon, the game turned into a platform in and of itself, featuring different modes – three of which were shut down after Epic Games laid off over 1,000 workers – and even a robust game creation tool called Unreal Editor for Fornite (UEFN).
