Greetings Fellow Godir!Three years ago, we opened the gates of Magehaven and invited you all to step into Age of Wonders 4. From the beginning, our vision was clear: to create a living fantasy sandbox where your imagination could take the lead - where you could create the fantasy empire of your dreams, and go forth into the endless realms of the Astral Sea to forge your own legends.A RetrospectiveFor this anniversary, I thought it would be fun to do a bit of a retrospective of what we’ve achieved over the last year. Our main focus has been to strengthen that focus on Empire Creation. The DLC we released as been a big part of that, of course:With Archon Prophecy, you can create your own Angelic Host to either ascend to heaven, or let fall into undeath.With Thrones of Blood you can become a Vampire Lord to drown the realms in blood, or to walk a path of redemption and rebirth.With Rise from Ruin you can create a host of Nomads to raid Ancient Sites for magical power, or to conquer the realms like a Golden Bubby Rabbit Horde!Or maybe you could mix content from all of the above at once!Enhanced Faction CreationBut a lot of work has also gone on in free updates to refine and expand what you can do with content from the base game as well! From your feedback we’ve learned that it’s not just the empire you play that matters, but also the empires you play against. So we added a system letting you control what Tomes the AI will pick when it plays your faction, as well as what they’ll name their cities and heroes.And of course, the color picker, a long awaited feature that finally allows you to create things like whatever it is this is:Brave New RealmsIt’s not all about Empire creation of course, for what use has an Empire without a realm to rule? Over the last year we’ve pushed 3 major new terrain types to add variety to the worlds you can play in, as well as landmarks, ancient wonders, infestations and a magic material, not to mention close to a hundred hand crafted regions that show them all off. And finally we’ve been plugging endlessly away at balance changes, quality of life tweaks, UI updates and pantheon updates all with the goal to make the game a lot more fun and enjoyable for you guys to play.The FutureWe’re nowhere near done yet though! We’re always reading your comments and feedback, looking for new ways to improve the game and new features we think you’ll find fun. We still have plenty of ideas for new fantasies and systems we want to add, so whether you play on the land, the underground, the abyss or maybe even in the sea we’ve got something planned for you!So, to everyone who has ruled, conquered, roleplayed, modded, or simply explored - thank you. A Retrospective

For this anniversary, I thought it would be fun to do a bit of a retrospective of what we’ve achieved over the last year. Our main focus has been to strengthen that focus on Empire Creation. The DLC we released as been a big part of that, of course:
