S3 Preview #4 | Boundary Marker Mechanics Updated
Following the reveal of the Skyshaker Cannon, upgraded Battleship building rules, the new gameplay map Shattered Isles, and the creature system overhaul, Myth of Empires: Throne Season 3: Era of the Shattered Seas will introduce even more gameplay adjustments and system optimizations. In this preview, we'll take a closer look at several of Season 3's upcoming improvements, including Boundary Marker offense and defense, defensive siege equipment, large vehicle balance changes, and quality-of-life enhancements. Boundary Marker Improvements Strengthen Base DefenseSeason 3 introduces several important changes to the Boundary Marker defense system. When enemy players enter a certain range of a Boundary Marker, the Boundary Marker will randomly target one enemy every 5 seconds and apply a continuous punishment effect. (PvP servers only.) This new mechanic is designed to strengthen homeland defense and reduce the impact of repeated solo harassment on Guild development. The resurrection rules within Boundary Marker territory will also be adjusted. Friendly players will respawn more quickly, while enemy players will face longer respawn cooldowns, creating a more balanced pace during offensive and defensive battles. To better protect resources, any loot bags dropped within your own Boundary Marker territory that remain unclaimed for an extended period will be automatically transferred to the Guild Warehouse for safekeeping. The redemption rules remain unchanged. New Anti-Air Defense for Boundary MarkersSeason 3 also introduces a dedicated anti-air system targeting Gliders. Each Boundary Marker will have 10 anti-air attacks available per day, automatically resetting every 24 hours. Guilds may also spend Copper Coins to purchase additional anti-air charges, with no purchase limit. Whenever an enemy player enters the Boundary Marker area using a Glider, the Boundary Marker will automatically consume one anti-air charge and launch an attack. Each enemy Glider shot down consumes one anti-air charge. In addition, enemy players will no longer be able to deploy a Glider after entering a Boundary Marker zone. Defensive Siege Equipment ImprovementsSeason 3 also expands defensive options with several improvements. Glazed Tile Arrow Towers will gain three new Advanced Whistling Arrow types:Boiling Silver Whistling ArrowPoison Whistling ArrowParalyzing Whistling Arrow Each specializes in different battlefield roles, including armor penetration, poison damage, and slowing effects, giving defenders more tactical flexibility. The base damage of Arrow Towers will also be increased, allowing them to deal significantly more damage even without a Warrior assigned. Additionally, when a low-level Boundary Marker is destroyed, Flamethrowers and Zhuge Mechanical Crossbows within its territory will no longer be destroyed automatically, improving the preservation of defensive structures. Large Vehicle Balance AdjustmentsSeason 3 also introduces several balance updates for large vehicles. The durability of both Battleships and Biremes will be increased. Battleship construction rules will also be updated to match those of Aerial Fortresses, allowing buildings and siege equipment to be placed freely across the deck instead of being restricted to the stern. Meanwhile, the durability of the Desert Ship will be reduced, giving each large vehicle a more distinct battlefield role. The Giant Kongming Lantern will now support dedicated storage cabinets, and its decay rules will be adjusted to match those of the Aerial Fortress. Continued Quality-of-Life ImprovementsBeyond combat-related changes, Season 3 also includes several gameplay experience improvements. Stamina consumption while using Gliders will be increased, further balancing aerial mobility. The repair system at the Crafter's Bench will also receive major improvements. After enabling Golden Stamp Repair, buildings can now be repaired automatically even without assigning a Warrior. The repair coverage area has also been expanded. A new Repair Now function has also been added. Activating it consumes 500 Golden Stamps and has a 5-minute cooldown, allowing players to quickly repair structures during critical situations. Note: Buildings that have been attacked within the last 5 minutes cannot be repaired. In addition, the number of Pandora's Boxes that may be placed will now be limited to 100 per Guild. Beyond these changes, Season 3 will continue refining many additional gameplay systems, with more improvements to be revealed in future previews. That concludes S3 Preview #4.As Myth of Empires: Throne Season 3: Era of the Shattered Seas draws closer, we'll continue unveiling more seasonal gameplay features, new systems, and optimization updates.
