It was already possible to play Final Fantasy 14 for free, but that experience just got a whole lot better with the arrival of Patch 7.5, for a series of reasons. The critically acclaimed MMORPG is undergoing a huge set of updates, a lot of which have been announced during this year’s first iteration of Fan Fest. For example, during the event, game director Naoki Yoshida (known as Yoshi-P) officially announced the Evercold expansion for FFXIV, set to arrive pretty soon, but with just enough space for players to get ready for its release.
