It’s official: Dispatch is finally coming to Xbox
After spending many long months only on PlayStation and PC, Dispatch is finally crossing over to the Xbox. Aiming to launch this summer, it'll come as an Xbox Play Anywhere game, meaning you can buy it once for the Xbox platform and play it on any device. This was confirmed during today's Xbox Partner Preview, with the release window set for summer 2026. The exact launch date will be shown at a later date, so that's all we have to go off of for now. Dispatch was previously released only on the PS5 and PC, withits developers previously neither confirming nor denying the plan to bring the game to Microsoft's ecosystem as well, given that it's a narratively-driven title with little actual gameplay, not that it's any fast-paced or action-packed gameplay anyhow. Dispatch is a phenomenal game, and will now finally be available to just about everyone. Image via AdHoc Studios Now, though, it'll be available across the board, bringing its stellar version of superheroes to all players, no matter their platform of choice. Back when it first came out, I gave Dispatch an 8.5, calling it the best-written game of 2025. And it sure is a testament to great writing, with characters that immediately hit it off, sparing no time to either grow on you as lovable but flawed villains or make you hate them head to toe. It's an incredible game that unfortunately suffers from some major pacing issues, on account of its episodes that burn brighter than the sun but not nearly as long. Not enough is afforded to characters like Invisigal, whose character arc and conflicted nature remain with me as some of the most interesting story beats I've ever come across in a video game, but who ultimately doesn't stick around for long as other characters take up what little bandwidth there is left in the story. Either way, it's a great title, and I'm genuinely happy to see it successful enough to be ported over to multiple platforms, allowing players of every kind to pick it up and enjoy it. Hopefully, it won't come to Xbox after going through half-assed censorship, unlike its Switch 2 counterpart. The post It’s official: Dispatch is finally coming to Xbox appeared first on Destructoid.
