[House-Legion League] Expansion & International Showmatch Format Update — FAQ

Generals!

In response to the overwhelming number of sign-ups, the Tournament Committee is expanding the bracket and updating the format for the 2026 House-Legion League. Here's a breakdown of the key changes:

Part I: Divisional Expansion & Progression

Q1: How will the Eastern Division be split after the expansion?

A: Into two separate divisions — Eastern Division A and Eastern Division B.

  • \[Eastern Division A]: NetEase Servers (excluding Jiulong and Sihai Servers) + WeGame Servers + Steam Asia Servers.

  • \[Eastern Division B]: NetEase Servers (Jiulong and Sihai Servers only).

Division A and Division B will have their own independent draws and schedules. Teams from these two divisions will not face each other at any point during the Points Stage or Knockout Stage.

Q2: How does the International Showmatch work?

A: All matches will be played on the official \[Tournament Server]:

  • Eastern Finals: The Division A Champion vs. the Division B Champion to determine the overall Eastern Regional Champion.

  • International Showmatch: The Eastern Regional Champion then takes on the Western Division Champion (Steam NA/EU) to compete for the ultimate House-Legion League title.

Q3: Will the expansion reduce the number of reward slots?

A: No. With each division operating independently, the total number of reward slots will actually increase. Existing rewards will not be reduced, and new ones will be added on top.

Specifically, Eastern Division A keeps all its original qualifying slots, while Eastern Division B receives its own new set of slots.

After the expansion, Eastern A, Eastern B, and the Western Division will each crown their own Champion and Runner-up. Rewards will be settled independently per division, including the Sovereigns prize pool, Exclusive Dynamic Titles, BP100 color-variant outfit, and a spot in the Legendary House Archives.

In addition, the Committee has confirmed a bonus reward for each divisional Champion:

Tournament-Exclusive Champion Avatar (Permanent) ×1

Part II: Core Format & Ban/Pick Rules

Q4: What are the Ban/Pick rules for BO3?

A: BO3 uses Map Ban/Pick only — there are no unit bans in this tournament.

The Map Ban/Pick process:

  1. Both teams roll to determine order.

  2. Lower roll → Bans 1 map (60s).

  3. Higher roll → Picks 1 map for the match (60s). Ban/Pick complete.

Q5: How are BO3 and BO5 matches decided?

A: BO3 (mainly for the Points Stage): The first two rounds are Siege Battles, with teams swapping sides once. If the score is tied 1-1, a tiebreaker round is played. The tiebreaker map and starting sides are randomly drawn by officials during the Ban/Pick phase and revealed to both teams beforehand.

BO5 (mainly for the Knockout Stage): Matches follow a Best-of-Five (BO5) format. If the score is tied at 2:2 after the first four rounds, a fifth tie-breaker round will be held, with the map and starting side randomly drawn by the tournament officials.

Q6: What are the new Artillery restrictions?

A: To encourage diverse tactics, the following Artillery restrictions are in effect:

  • Global Ban: Divine Crow and War Rockets are banned for the entire tournament.

  • Quality Cap: Only Epic (Purple) quality Artillery or below is allowed.

  • Quantity Cap: Per match, each player on the Attacking side may bring and deploy up to 2 Artillery pieces; each player on the Defending side may bring and deploy up to 1.

Part III: Roster Management & Substitution Rules

Q7: If a member's account gets banned during the tournament, can they be replaced?

A: Yes, but with restrictions:

  • Maximum: Each team may make up to 3 substitutions for members banned due to violations over the course of the entire tournament.

  • Effective Date: The House Leader must submit a written request in the official tournament admin group. The replacement may only play starting from the day after the request is submitted. (i.e., if you submit today, the sub cannot play in today's matches.)
