Conductor's Log Day 2: Escape
Hello Everyone!Welcome to the second of our Conductor logs, wherein our hero manages to escape the facility:Day 2: Escape I must have sat there for minutes (minutes I now know are precious, but I was in an enviable state of ignorance at this point) before I calmed myself down. Once my heart stopped trying to escape my chest, I took in the surrounding. A hacking kit rested near a control panel on the floor. The only way to get people out of the cryo pods early, if I remembered right. I quickly used to open the pod in the opposite room. An equally confused person stepped out, and after a quick wave and some random gesturing, it was clear we'd find our way out together. With a deep breath, I ventured further into the facility and stumbled across a screen showing what will keep me alive in this frozen hellscape. A train. But my luck hadn't turned around just yet. As a rather helpful note on the screen informed me, the train's battery was dying. I had less than 10 minutes to get aboard. A timer appeared on the HUD of my exosuit, the countdown driving me to rush out. With that I ran through the rest of the facility – looking back, there was a lot of loot I could have grabbed, clankers I could have scrapped, but I just ran. I took a couple of hits, but the medical machine in the foyer quickly healed me up again, and before long, I was out in the snow, trudging toward my new home. Looking at the train, it’s a magnificent beast, a huge, powerful machine which was humming with unrestrained power. I ran as fast as I could, noting the other set of footsteps with a soft smile – the other passenger I had freed had clearly beaten me out here. With 7 minutes to spare, I was hauled onto the train, and before I'd even had time to find warmup again, we were moving....

A train.
