Community Cat Contest

Hello Responders!As the team works towards future content goals and preparing our next updates, we discovered a unique opportunity for our community to get involved. Due to both the love shown to our launch as well as some of our new outfit offerings, we’re working on additional cosmetics for future releases themed around a wide variety of inspirations.So, starting now (September 1st, 2026) we’ll be hosting a contest to select a special kitty to grace a future compass skin! This contest will have two phases:Submissions & VotingTime Frame: September 1st to September 3rdVoting Time Frame: September 3rd to September 7thIn order to submit a cat for consideration, you’ll need to join the NMRIH Discord and visit #cat-contest-entry to agree to the terms of the contest. Then, head to #????┃nmrih2-cat-contest and make a forum entry. Cat pictures wanting consideration should generally follow these guidelines:The picture must be at least 1024x1024.At least 70% of the image should be focused on your cat’s face. (no full body shots)The cat must be your cat.As plain of a background as possible is appreciated!Voting will take place in Discord via the built-in reaction to forum submissions. Members are encouraged to vote for as many cats as they enjoy, not just their own!Cat BracketTime Frame: September 8th to September 10thOnce we’ve closed submissions and voting, a selection of the top cats will be put head to head in a bracket based upon their votes. This bracket will then be decided via polls shared in the NMRIH Discord’s announcements channel. Once our final cat has been crowned, we’ll get to work ensuring that they can shine in a future update. The winner will also be granted the cosmetic pack their feline friend ends up in! In order to submit a cat for consideration, you’ll need to join the NMRIH Discord and visit #cat-contest-entry to agree to the terms of the contest. Then, head to #????┃nmrih2-cat-contest and make a forum entry. Cat pictures wanting consideration should generally follow these guidelines:
