Celebrating 10 Years of The Division
Ten years ago, The Division invited players to become agents in a world on the brink, carrying the responsibility of protecting what remained and rebuilding what had been lost. Since then, agents have crossed snow-covered streets in New York and fought to reclaim Washington, D.C., continuing the work of restoring order wherever it was needed. This anniversary is a moment to reflect on that shared journey, the challenges faced, the victories earned, and the community that has stood alongside us throughout the years. From March 3 to April 2, we invite you to take part in celebrations created to honor the past decade of The Division. This update also brings visual improvements to the world itself, with refinements to lighting, shadows, fog, reflections, and materials that enhance atmosphere and detail while preserving performance. The result is a Washington, D.C. and New York that feel sharper, richer, and more immersive. Below, you will find everything arriving with the anniversary and the experiences waiting for agents throughout the month. REALISM MODE To celebrate ten years of The Division, we wanted to create something that lets you experience the world from a fresh perspective. Realism Mode is exactly that, a limited time experience that lets you enter New York and see what it means to operate as a Division Agent in a more grounded and unforgiving way, where every decision matters. It’s a separate character journey that takes place throughout the Warlords of New York campaign. WONY expansion will be accessible to all Division 2 players during the Anniversary Season, giving everyone the chance to step into Realism Mode during the celebration. At its core, it’s about immersion and tension. Fights are faster and more lethal for both agents and enemies. Mistakes carry weight, but victories feel all the more satisfying. You’ll notice the interface has been reduced, placing more emphasis on reading the world around you. Ammo is recovered directly from defeated enemies, and while skills remain powerful, their longer cooldowns and added risk make them tools best saved for critical moments. Gear and weapon bonuses reflect the physical nature of what you wear, with heavier pieces providing increased protection at the cost of mobility, while lighter gear favors speed and flexibility at the cost of survivability. Once the campaign is complete, New York is still yours to explore, with content available to replay at your own pace. In many ways, Realism Mode is a reflection of what has always sat at the heart of The Division, risk, survival and the feeling of navigating a living world one encounter at a time. ANNIVERSARY EVENT PASS The Anniversary Season also introduces a limited time Event Pass packed with rewards for you to earn. Progression through the Event Pass will feel familiar, with regular play and completed activities earning Season Pass XP that advances levels naturally over time just by playing. Global Event Stars can also be used to speed up progress. CLANCY UNIVERSE COLLABORATION This time, we reach into the wider Tom Clancy universe. Drawing inspiration from Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and Rainbow Six Siege, the track features outfit pieces from across those worlds, allowing you to assemble sets inspired by some of your favorite Clancy titles as you progress. REWARDS OVERVIEW While crossover rewards may draw the spotlight, the event offers much more. Two familiar Global Events from the original The Division make their return: Ambush and Assault.
Ambush rewards patience and positioning, building towards a damage multiplier that can reach up to 200% while you stay still and gradually dropping as you move.
Assault, on the other hand, favors aggressive play, granting increased damage against nearby enemies with a multiplier of up to 200%.
Each Global Event will run for one week and has its own unique mask to earn. Over the anniversary month, Ambush and Assault rotate twice, so be sure to take part each week to collect all four of them.
Ambush: March 3 – March 10
Assault: March 10 – March 17
Ambush: March 17 – March 24
Assault: March 24 – March 31
Alongside the Anniversary Season activities, a themed project will be available from March 16 to March 24 in celebration of National Panda Day. Agents can complete Manning National Zoo and earn the Panda backpack trophy, proving that Division agents protect all civilians, even the ones covered in fur.
To mark the occasion, every The Division 2 player who logs in during the anniversary month will receive an exclusive hoodie featuring Tommy the Bear, a small thank you for your continued support.
ANNIVERSARY BUNDLE The Anniversary Bundle brings a set of extras designed to complement the celebration. Agents can unlock Frost and Flame, a special weapon skin for the Big Alejandro exotic, 50 additional stash space to support growing inventories, and 20 Event Pass level skips.
As we mark ten years of The Division, this celebration is as much about the agents who have shaped this journey as it is about the world itself. This anniversary is an opportunity to look back on how far we have come together while continuing the work that defines every agent.
Thank you for being part of The Division. We look forward to the moments still ahead.

Below is a list of known issues currently being tracked by the team.
As the Stash is not available in Realism Mode, players who purchase the One Time Offer or Anniversary Bundle while using a Realism character will need to switch to a non-Realism character to access Vanity and gameplay rewards stored in the Stash. Items are not lost and remain accessible once switching characters.
Newly dropped or crafted instances of the Lockdown Named Shotgun have incorrect attributes and Total Damage values.
The Military Mk17 deals less damage than intended.
Certain cinematics may not play if the player has previously completed the WONY campaign on a non-Realism character.
"Share items" hints may appear on Item Preview screens within the Inventory when acquiring items while grouped.
You can also track some of the top-level investigations being conducted by the team over on our Known Issues Board.
