Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge Event

Hey there, Greymanes!  

Since Crimson Desert launched, we’ve loved seeing the many fun and incredible videos you’ve shared across community and social channels, capturing your adventures and unforgettable moments in Pywel. Your creativity and remarkable gameplay continue to impress us, and we want to thank you once again for all your support.   

To celebrate those moments and to give you a chance to showcase them, we’re excited to announce the Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge, a video contest for all Greymanes!  

Whether you want to focus on exploration, combat, non-combat life activities, the Abyss, character customization, or something completely unexpected, the theme is up to you. Show us your best moments in Pywel through your own video creation.   

The Crimson Desert studio will review submissions and select the winners. Winners will receive various rewards, including a trip to Pearl Abyss’ Korea headquarters office with airfare and accommodations covered. Please see the details below for more information.  

Submission Guidelines

 1. Create a video showcasing the world of Crimson Desert in a visually stunning way.

• You may choose one of two categories:

  • Short-form video (under 1 minute) 

  • Long-form video (1 to 3 minutes)

    • You may submit entries to both categories; however, each participant may only win in one category.  

2. Publish your video following the below steps

• Upload the video your personal social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.) or YouTube channel. 

• Please ensure that the video/post is set to be publicly visible.

• When posting, make sure to include the hashtags #CrimsonDesert and #BeyondTheAbyss.

• Then, submit your information, social media/YouTube video link, and the original video file through the survey link below.

3. Submission Period

• All entries must be submitted by July 12, 2026, 23:59 UTC.

Video Guidelines

Your video submission(s) must comply with the following guidelines to be eligible for entry: 

• Create a video that captures the world of Crimson Desert under a theme of your choice. 

  • Submissions will be evaluated based on visual and editing quality, and creativity. 

  • Short-form entries must be under 1 minute, and long-form entries must be between 1 and 3 minutes. 

  • Only videos composed of actual in-game footage are allowed. Animations, 3D animations, or cartoon-style videos are not eligible. 

  • When using background music, please note that copyrighted content may result in removal, muting, or monetization restrictions on the platform. We therefore recommend using officially licensed music or original compositions whenever possible. 

  • Multiple submissions are allowed; however, rewards will not be granted multiple times per participant.

Rewards

A total of 10 winning entries will be selected through internal review by the Crimson Desert studio—6 long-form entries and 4 short-form entries.   
Winners will be announced on the official Crimson Desert website on August 3rd. 

Important – Terms & Conditions

Please make sure to thoroughly review the Terms and Conditions below. Failure to meet the requirements outlined may result in your entry not being processed or your participation being cancelled. 

※ Submitted videos may be used for promotional purposes without time or regional limitations and may be featured on the official Crimson Desert website or social media channels. 
※ To be eligible for selection, creators must first upload their work according to the submission guidelines and then submit the original video file via a link (e.g., Google Drive or other accessible methods). 
※ Failure to provide access to or allow download of the original video file may result in disqualification from the event. 
※ Videos uploaded to YouTube must be set to Public. Likewise, videos posted on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram must also be publicly accessible so that they can be viewed without restriction for participation to be valid. 
※ If a submission is found to involve copyright infringement, plagiarism, or any other improper use of third-party content, the entry will be disqualified. Disqualification may also occur even after winners are announced. 
※ Entries containing advertisements or promotion of specific targets, or content deemed socially inappropriate (e.g., content that discriminates against or mocks specific countries, ethnicities, regions, individuals, religions, races, genders, disabilities, etc.) will be excluded. If such content is discovered after winner selection, the award may be revoked. 
※ Submissions created wholly or partially using generative AI are not eligible for participation. (However, general editing, color correction, and similar technical tools used to enhance the creator’s original work are permitted.) 
※ The organizer may request supporting materials such as video or image progress files to verify that the final selected work was not generated using AI or plagiarism. 
※ Event details and schedule are subject to change, modification, or cancellation depending on company circumstances, and any updates will be announced via the official website. 
※ The winner announcement schedule may also be changed due to internal circumstances. 
※ If a selected winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the award may be revoked. 
※ To participate in the event, you must be considered an adult under the laws of your respective country, and you must enter using the exact name as it appears on your passport. Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification or cancellation of the prize. 
※ Winners must hold a passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date of entry into the Republic of Korea. If travel to Korea or prize redemption becomes impossible due to company circumstances or unavoidable reasons on the winner’s side (including visa denial, travel restrictions, health conditions, legal restrictions, or other personal reasons), Pearl Abyss reserves the right to replace or cancel the prize. 
※ Pearl Abyss is not responsible for any issues arising during participation or prize redemption, including but not limited to network instability, technical errors, or platform issues (e.g., social media malfunctions). The company is also not liable for any personal loss, damage, accidents, or travel disruptions such as flight delays or cancellations that occur during the winner’s visit to Korea, unless directly caused by the company. 
※ Pearl Abyss reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules, submits false information, interferes with the event process, engages in fraudulent behavior, or acts in a way that undermines the fairness, integrity, or reputation of the event. 
※ Depending on the laws, regulations, or restrictions of the participant’s country or region of residence, participation or prize redemption may be restricted, including inability to travel to Korea. Participation may also be limited in regions where Crimson Desert services are not available. 
※ Winners may be required to submit identification and other documents, including proof of identity, age, residence, passport validity, and other necessary information for prize delivery, tax reporting, travel arrangements, or legal compliance. Any disadvantages resulting from incomplete or incorrect submissions will be the responsibility of the winner, and any false information may result in disqualification.
