Best builds to use in Far Far West
Far Far West allows you the scope to use different builds to clear the in-game content and level up your bounty hunter. When you're playing in higher difficulties, you'll want to be efficient with your resources and how you use them. This guide will provide you with what I consider the best build available in the current build of the game, along with something you can also use as a beginner.Table of contentsBest build to use in Far Far WestCharacterSpellsSecondaryBest beginner build in Far Far WestBest build to use in Far Far West The solo build requires you to unlock the Leveredge, which is an incredibly powerful rifle to begin with. Here's how we set it up effectively. Image via Fireshine Games Damage will be the first stat you'll want to max out. The higher the damage, the fewer shots you require to clear enemies.Add an ample number of points (about 3-4) to Fire Rate, as the Leveredge will initially feel slow.Max out your Draw Speed instead of investing in Reload Speed. We can then take advantage of the Stacked Lever Joker that immediately reloads two bullets. Hence, Reload Speed becomes completely redundant. Here's a list of two other Jokers that must be used with this build (aside from Stacked Lever).Ricochet: 30% chance that a fired shot will automatically hit a nearby enemy.Relentless: You get +30% damage when you're under 30% HP, and we will shortly find out why this is such an important piece.Character You'll want the following stats maxed as a priority.Health: This is a must for any usable build and all weapons.Spell Cooldown: Essential for this specific build.Speed: Being mobile is key to survival. Here are my three best choices for Jokers with this build. Screenshot by Destructoid Second Wind: You can die when on a run, and Second Wind keeps you that safety blanket if you make a grave mistake. It recovers your HP partially if there's a fatal blow. Glass Cannon: With the Leveredge, you want to play it as a sniper. You drop your HP to 98 from 130, but gain 40% more weapon damage. Your gun will hit harder and stronger with this sacrifice.Soul Siphon: Ideally, you want both equipped, since you'll regain 4 HP per soul. It's always useful to have this extra healing option.Spells Here's a list of my preferred spells with this build.Thunder Strike: Amazing spell that allows you to clear large enemies of enemies with a single strike.Fireball: This is a perfect combo to trigger with Thunder Strike as it creates a fore tornado. The tornado moves and damages every enemy caught in it.Bubble: Since both electric and Fire spells combine with Bubble, it's a good option to have as the third choice. This is also why you want to invest points in Spell Cooldown. Doing so allows you to cycle through your spells faster and clear enemies quicker. Concentrate on the first two spells mentioned above, but don't forget to use Bubble whenever it's ready.Secondary For the secondary slot, just go with the well-trusted Revolver. Get the damage, draw speed, and lifesteal up, which are all necessary for a good backup. Both Headbang and Ricochet are strong choices to pair with this gun. Finally, I went with Fire as the element, but you can also swap it for Electricity. When it comes to Utilities, I am yet to get a firm favorite. At Nightmare difficulty, Bottle Crate is a great choice as you can heal your health on the move. At lower difficulties, however, you can opt for explosive options. I will leave this for your preferred playstyle.Best beginner build in Far Far West While the build above is excellent, it will take some time to get all the upgrades. This build, in contrast, is a great choice for beginners. It doesn't require you to invest too many Gold, and the only unlock is the Shotgun. For the Shotgun, you want to increase the Damage, Fire Rate, and Reload Speed. At first, concentrate on upgrading Fire Rate and Reload Speed. For Jokers, Ricochet is a great choice for the 30% chance of a fired shot to hit an enemy automatically. Relentless is also a good choice, as you do extra damage when your health is down significantly. Screenshot by Destructoid Since this is for beginners, I have only considered spells that are available at Level 1. Go for Strikes (Electric) and Drain (Voodoo). The two spells combine and create a thunderstorm that does random damage to enemies. It's a great combination in the early stages of the game before we can unlock the more advanced spells. I will avoid investing much in any secondaries with this build. Stick to the Revolver so that you can build into the loadout with the Leveredge. For utilities, use whatever suits your fancy, as this build is for easier difficulties. The post Best builds to use in Far Far West appeared first on Destructoid.
