Think of this article as the Anime Apocalypse HUB for the best Abilities, Gadgets, Traits, Gear and basically everything in the game. Some are stronger early and some later in the end-game. I will be ranking Abilities based on their Mastery 100 versions but I will mention if they’re weak or strong at Mastery 0 as well. I’ll also highlight which Abilities are good for which game mode below. You can expect the S-Tiers to be good at all game modes, with A-Tier being great alternatives and B-Tier being great for beginners while also being decently competitive. Mastery Tips: Mastery 100 unlocks the V skill and you get Mastery by simply killing zombies with the specific Ability you want to level up. Mastery is saved for each individual weapon when you switch it out. Anime Apocalypse Ability Tier List

• Four massive damage AOE moves that breeze through Survival and Infinite
• The strongest S/I ability in the game along with Spin and a bit weaker than Limitless for Raids
• Combine with Saiyan for the revive or Spin for more AOE

Limitless
Raid ShopShibuya Crossing Raid

• Amazing boss damage and a great crowd-control moveset
• Still pretty decent for Survival and Infinite too but Illusionist/Aizen has an edge there
• Power-creeps older Abilities apart from Spin and Atomic but runs really well with Saiyan for the revive

Spin

• Easily the best moveset in the game DPS-wise

• But it’s more reliable for Raid and Survival
• Tons of damage here for all modes

B-Tier Ability

Pride
Mythic

• Competes incredibly well with Coyote and Saiyan as the Top 5 ability overall
• Pride unlike Coyote is not top 1 in any mode but it’s great in all modes with no weaknesses
• It’s also strong at both 0 and 100 Mastery so you can use it whenever

Shadow Monarch Mythic

• Incredibly strong in Infinite due to shadows
• That said it relies a lot on high Mastery so it’s much stronger later at 100
• Early on it gets out-DPS-ed by other Mythics and Exclusives
• So overall if you like playing SM, it’s great, but be prepared to grind it since it’s not as strong in base form

Sosuke
Legendary

• The best beginner Ability since the Susano slash will carry you with its massive damage burst and range
• Excellent in Infinite due to simple high value moves that are easy to land
• It’s also really strong at base Mastery 0 being even better than Coyote, Destructive Fists and Shadow Monarch
• That said the Mythics and Exclusives scale much better into the end-game and end up stronger for all modes
• Still, you should use Sosuke as much as possible early to grind

Fire Fighter
Exclusive – BattlePass

• The middleground DPS option that’s decent for most modes but not the best
• Overall all the Abilities above outdamage it but it is better than King of Curses
• It’s also a bit better than Shadow Monarch at Mastery 0 since SM takes a while to get going

C-Tier Ability

C-Tier

Ranking Reasons

King of Curses Legendary

• The weakest Legendary and a mid option overall since the moves are awkward to pull off and drag enemies around which makes it difficult to combo with other players
• It’s better than the Epics and Rares but that’s about it
• I would just level Sosuke unless you just really like roleplaying as Sukuna

D-Tier Ability

D-Tier

Nen Prodigy Epic

Zorro
Rare

• Your beginner options
• They get powercrept fast by all the above abilities
• This is not one of those games where the Rares and Epics are really good
• It’s just a numbers game and Nen and Zorro easily get out-DPS-ed

Anime Apocalypse Gadget Tier List

Image by Destructoid The best Gadgets in Anime Apocalypse are highly dependent on what game mode you’re playing so you should switch them out before runs. Below, I’ll list all Gadgets and then go into individual ranking reasons why they’re good for each mode. For Raids we want high damage without needing much defense since you’ll learn to dodge boss telegraphs. For Infinite/Survival we want crowd-control or defense.

S-Tier : The best for that game mode
A-Tier : Great alternative but weaker
B-Tier : Weak but can still be useful
C-Tier : Virtually useless

Rankings by Game Mode

Black Hole
Mythic

Raids: C-Tier
Survival/Infinite: S-Tier

• The AOE damage and CC is amazing for setting up bursts for Survival and Infinite
• Also controls crowds for both you and your team
• It’s weak in Raids, especially since it can sometimes mess with the boss’ position

Rage
Epic

Raids: S-Tier
Survival/Infinite: B-Tier

• Just a damage boost and burst damage multiplier for when you want to ult or do a big move rotation in Raids
• Incredibly powerful for killing bosses
• A bit weak in Survival/Infinite since you’re usually almost one-shotting everything anyway but not useless in a team

Infinity
Legendary

Raids: B-Tier
Survival/Infinite: A-Tier

• You’ll usually learn boss telegraphs and moves so you’ll eventually be dodging them anyway so you don’t need Infinity
• Still okay in Raids for beginners that are still learning boss patterns
• That said in Survival/Infinite it’s a great defensive tool when you get swarmed

Time Stop
Mythic

Raids: A-Tier
Survival/Infinite: B-Tier

• Pretty good in Raids as defense and allowing you to escape a bit of damage
• Not really needed in Survival/Infinite but can be situationally useful if you get swarmed

Conqueror’s Haki
Legendary

Raids: B-Tier
Survival/Infinite: A-Tier

• Not needed in Raids but situationally useful to crowd-control mob groups that the boss spawns
• Much better in Survival/Infinite for stunning frequent crowds of enemies

Beacon Taunt
Epic

Raids: C-Tier
Survival/Infinite: B-Tier

• Useless in Raids since the occasional crowds get bursted anyway
• Much better in Survival/Infinite for crowd control but it’s not a must-have

Medkit
Rare

Raids: C-Tier
Survival/Infinite: C-Tier

• Overall not useless but not really needed in any mode since there are stronger options
