Aliens: Fireteam Elite Nintendo Switch Players Are Now Stranded

The Nintendo Switch version of Aliens: Fireteam Elite has officially shut down, meaning anyone who owns the cloud-streaming edition can no longer play the game. Is cloud gaming the face of gaming in the future? It does not look that way, as Aliens: Fireteam Elite is now permanently unplayable on the Nintendo Switch. This means that anyone who owned the game cannot play it, as of August 5th. Since the Switch hardware was said not to be able to run the game natively, the compromise was to have a cloud-streaming edition, costing $29.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which consists of the base game and DLC.
