A New Skill Emerges: Loafing & Milestone Badges
Today we’re introducing Loafing, a brand-new skill built around one of the Hotel’s most time-honoured traditions: sitting down and doing absolutely nothing. For years, Habbos have been perfecting the art of finding the right seat, settling in, and staying there. Whether it’s catching up with friends, people-watching in a busy room, or just taking a moment to exist in the space you’ve built, it’s always been part of the experience. Now, it finally counts. With Loafing, simply take a seat and remain there to gain experience over time. No inputs, no mechanics to learn, and nothing to optimise at a glance, just sit back and let the experience come to you. That said, seasoned Habbos know there’s more to sitting than meets the eye. Seat choice matters. Posture matters. Are you front row in a busy space, or tucked away in a quiet corner? Upright and alert, or fully leaned back and committed to the loaf? Every Habbo has their own approach, and now, their own way to master it.Some might call it doing nothing. We prefer to call it Loafing.New Skill Badges: 99 & 150M MilestonesReaching level 99 is no small feat, and pushing all the way to 150 million experience is something else entirely. To recognise these milestones, we’ve added brand-new badges for Fishing, Gardening, and Loafing.Whether you’ve been grinding for months or mastering the art of doing absolutely nothing, it’s time to show it off.Game Engine UpdatesExpanded Furniture Tile BehaviourWe’ve added support for individual tile behaviours on furniture. This means a single piece of furniture can now behave differently across its tiles (for example, acting as a seat on one tile and a stackable surface on another).Previously, all tiles occupied by a piece of furniture behaved identically. While there’s no immediate gameplay use for this, it opens the door for more flexible furniture design in the future.Cast Loading ImprovementsWe’ve made adjustments to how game casts (game data) are loaded during boot to address an issue where a small number of players were prompted to manually locate cast files, preventing them from entering the game.Updates & FixesPublic RoomsFixed entry and exit points for public room subunits (such as rooms inside hallways).
Every Habbo has their own approach, and now, their own way to master it.
Some might call it doing nothing. We prefer to call it Loafing.
Reaching level 99 is no small feat, and pushing all the way to 150 million experience is something else entirely. To recognise these milestones, we’ve added brand-new badges for Fishing, Gardening, and Loafing.

Whether you’ve been grinding for months or mastering the art of doing absolutely nothing, it’s time to show it off.
