1 million Crawlers in 1 week
Hello,First of all, thank you to everyone who has been playing Vampire Crawlers since launch. The game released on April 21 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, with 1 million users in its first week. That is obviously a ridiculous number, and as our first Vampire Survivors spin-off, it means a lot to us.Vampire Survivors began as a very small, very strange project, and over time it grew into something much bigger than we ever expected. Vampire Crawlers is the first time we’ve tried to take those same core ideas and push them into a completely different genre. So thank you for trusting us enough to come along for that, and for the overwhelming response. Here's a list of hotfixes coming very soon:Fix a crash caused by a Gatti Amari scuffle happening as an encounter endsFix a save slot error that could occur if a brand new player exited before the tutorial finished loadingImprove detection for corrupt save data, or save data brought back from a later version to an earlier oneAdd limit to frame rate based on monitor refresh rate to to fix too many resources being used (should reduce number of crashes)Fix a crash caused by the Echo gemDemo saves still in the tutorial are now deleted when upgrading to the full game (prevents broken save states)Improve saving integrity to avoid corruption in the case of power cuts or unexpected app closureFix an issue where two save slots could be loaded at the same time, which should help prevent achievement progress from being wiped We are also actively working on quality of life updates, and Endless Mode.A quick note: we generally do not want to nerf things. The goal is to fix issues, not remove the fun.RoadmapWe’re also working on a roadmap for upcoming content. Now that players have had time to get their hands on it, we’re in a much better position to decide what should come first. So, in summary:Thank you for playingThank you for the reviewsThank you for the bug reportsHotfixes incomingWe have a roadmap Thank you to everyone at Nosebleed Interactive for bringing Vampire Crawlers to life, and thank you again to everyone who has played it so far. Hello,
First of all, thank you to everyone who has been playing Vampire Crawlers since launch.
The game released on April 21 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, with 1 million users in its first week. That is obviously a ridiculous number, and as our first Vampire Survivors spin-off, it means a lot to us.
Vampire Survivors began as a very small, very strange project, and over time it grew into something much bigger than we ever expected. Vampire Crawlers is the first time we’ve tried to take those same core ideas and push them into a completely different genre. So thank you for trusting us enough to come along for that, and for the overwhelming response.
Here's a list of hotfixes coming very soon:
Fix a crash caused by a Gatti Amari scuffle happening as an encounter ends
Fix a save slot error that could occur if a brand new player exited before the tutorial finished loading
Improve detection for corrupt save data, or save data brought back from a later version to an earlier one
Add limit to frame rate based on monitor refresh rate to to fix too many resources being used (should reduce number of crashes)
Fix a crash caused by the Echo gem
Demo saves still in the tutorial are now deleted when upgrading to the full game (prevents broken save states)
Improve saving integrity to avoid corruption in the case of power cuts or unexpected app closure
Fix an issue where two save slots could be loaded at the same time, which should help prevent achievement progress from being wiped
We are also actively working on quality of life updates, and Endless Mode.
A quick note: we generally do not want to nerf things. The goal is to fix issues, not remove the fun.
We’re also working on a roadmap for upcoming content. Now that players have had time to get their hands on it, we’re in a much better position to decide what should come first.

So, in summary:
Thank you for playing
Thank you for the reviews
Thank you for the bug reports
Hotfixes incoming
We have a roadmap
Thank you to everyone at Nosebleed Interactive for bringing Vampire Crawlers to life, and thank you again to everyone who has played it so far.
See you in the next news post.
