Train Sim World 6 Update Notes - June 17th 2026

Hello everyone,

We’ve got a major update coming tomorrow, primarily focussing on a range of UK add-ons, including the Class 90 improvements from the Alan Thomson Simulation team, as well as a huge patch for the Expert DB BR 145, and additional improvements for Stuttgart Heilbronn.

Please note that updates may take up to 24-hours to release across each platform.

• BR Class 90 Electric Freight Loco – Range of improvements and key fixes from the ATS team that should greatly enhance the experience driving and listening to audio from the Class 90, alongside other updates and changes from community feedback.

• Expert DB BR 145 – A large update of new improvements and additions, including fixes to enhance the gameplay experience further.

• Medway Valley Line – Adding new rainbow weather features and Dispatcher Mode gameplay to Tonbridge station, alongside a range of improvements. Please note these changes are on PC and Xbox only, whilst our teams conclude additional testing for PS5.

Core

• Fixed an issue where players were unable to exit from passenger seat unless it is the initial seat they occupied.

• Optimisation to loading system for textures to avoid crashes if some information is loaded before it is needed.

UK Add-on Audio Updates 

The following DLC’s have received an update due to an internal change with Audio for the game. There are no changes in game unless outlined in the other sections below, but we wanted to inform you that you may see an update for the following DLC’s with no noted changes:

BR Class 90 Electric Freight Loco

Range of improvements and key fixes from the ATS team that should greatly enhance the experience driving and listening to audio from the Class 90, alongside other updates and changes from community feedback.

• Added new audio for wipers

• Updated audio for track and running sounds, blower sounds, HVAC, cab occlusion along with refinement to minor sounds throughout the train. 

• Improved DSD pedal behaviour across all input methods.  

• All Class 90 liveries should now spawn correctly in Free Roam Mode 

• Throttle no longer jerks when emergency brake is applied.  

• Parking brakes can no longer be engaged/released while moving.  

• ETH cables no longer incorrectly connect when running in tandem.  

• Corrected the ladder animation at cab entrances  

• Updated incorrect AWS behaviour

• Updated to physics throughout the train to ensure correct behaviour

• Updated Speed Set functionality so that the train doesn’t accelerate indefinitely

• Fixed physics issues around AWS/TPWS/DSD systems

• Fixed issue where running and flange sounds stopped playing when adjusting the throttle

• Fixed issue where the loco would not require throttle reset after DSD intervention 

• Fixed gaps that were appearing in the back wall of the Class 90 cab 

• Fixed the brake release behaviour so brakes no longer release automatically when coming to a stand

• Fixed incorrect references in the faults system

• Removed the incorrect orange OTDR box from Freightliner cab variants

• Various localisation updates throughout the route

Expert DB BR 145

• Added full‑brake and half‑brake warning stickers that appear when a brake is cut out at spawn

• Added new FT95 pages, contrast control, bitmap destination support, and the ability to disable flipdot LEDs

• Added “KEINE MVB‑Verbindung” status message

• Added permanent brake‑cutout stickers that appear when a wagon spawns with a disabled brake.  

• Added delays to prevent race conditions so stickers always appear correctly. 

• Added missing machine‑room audio when doors/windows are open.  

• Added full suspension physics.  

• Added collision to brake equipment module to prevent clipping.  

• Added driver‑assist prompts for traction lock caused by indirect brake, and for stuck distributor valves (Expert Mode only).  

• Added missing real‑world freight, tanker, grain and coupling services.  

• Added correct pantograph‑up behaviour for auto‑wagon, tank and trailer trains.  

• Improved brake squeal, brake hiss, traction cues and wind effects.  

• Improved routing at Leipzig‑Engelsdorf and Borsdorf.  

• Improved automatic brake overcharge behaviour.  

• Improved Train Brake + Dynamic Brake coupling to prevent lever desync.  

• Improved indirect brake traction‑lock behaviour to match real operation.  

• Corrected translations, special destinations, and font issues.  

• Corrected brake pipe hiss direction on Sggmrss and Sdggmrss twin units.  

• Adjusted timings around Dresden‑Friedrichstadt to reduce delays.  

• Startup services moved earlier to allow realistic brake tests.  

• Pantograph bounding box fixed so the raised panto is now visible from all angles.  

• RBH variant windows now animate correctly when opened, including in rain.  

• Livery Designer now includes the correct grey lower body strip and snow mask.  

• Restored external alert sounds and improved rolling noise between 30–90 km/h.  

• Zacns wagons now support Hydrochloric Acid cargo.  

• Main reservoir gauge now displays the correct pressure source.  

• Pantograph switch now drops the panto and opens the MCB if operated while moving.  

• Train number entry now auto‑pads correctly.  

• V=0 and V>0 buttons now open the latest fault help text.  

• Display data now clears correctly when both ISG LSS switches are open.  

• Updated BR 145 thumbnails in menus and Livery Designer.  

• NVP variant now appears in Free Roam.  

• Shunting under HL dwarf signals at Leipzig‑Engelsdorf is now fully supported.  

• BR 145 timetable updated so coupling and shunting behave logically in the yard.  

• Wagons now simulate stuck distributor valves.  

• Repeated rapid brake applications trigger a driver‑assist warning (Expert Mode only).  

• Updated cab alert sounds with new samples. 

• Updated final stop location for DGS‑99766 to prevent out‑of‑bounds completion.  

• Fixed horn end‑sound not playing and improved doppler and spatialisation.  

• Fixed regressions affecting rolling sounds and cab ambience.  

• Fixed missing hiss audio on Sdggmrss angle cocks.  

• Fixed load logic for DGS 95607 so the train spawns with realistic weight (>800t).

• Fixed multiple AI SPAD issues (e.g., GAG 41345, S1 31708, EZ 45300).  

• Fixed duplicate or incorrect service names.  

• Fixed unreachable score criteria in Scenarios A and C.  

• Fixed incorrect AI pathing and missing end‑service nodes.  

• Fixed AI SPAD on DGS‑99766 spawn.  

• Fixed incorrect train data entry in Expert: Simply Delivered (VMZ now correctly 100).  

• Fixed signallers call in Interesting Developments, so it plays from the correct cab.  

• Fixed battery voltage needle behaviour in both player‑controlled and AI states.  

• Fixed PZB behaviour including 1000 Hz indicator timing, acknowledge audio, and restrictive‑mode callouts.  

• Fixed LZB Prüfen/Störung light behaviour when isolated.  

• Fixed PZB input delay differences between push/pull actions. 

• Fixed malfunction selection not updating on the WD page.  

• Removed scenario trigger view from tutorials.  

BR Class 86/2 & Mk2f Coaches

• Added Raildriver support for all Class 86-2 livery variants. 

• Improved texture optimisation to improve performance and stability for loco. 

• Improved driving experience to be more consistent and accurate to real world

• Improved visuals and lighting for glass and wheel blur along with long‑distance visibility improvements across Mk1/Mk2 stock

• Made instrument lights visible during the day

• Headlights and marker lights are now brighter

• Corrected the axle height for Class 86-2

• Updated the RVD for Free Roam 

• Fixed wiper animation for Class 86-2 

• Fixed brake selector switch being labelled wrong

• Fixed an issue with Mk2F’s not appearing in scenario designer with custom liveries

• Various updates to localisation

Blackpool Branches

Just trains have added a new Blackpool timetable alongside their improvements in this patch, seeing rolling stock on the Blackpool to Euston services switched to out for more accurate stock included with Preston to Crewe and Preston to Carlisle add-ons. Additionally, loco changes now feature at Preston for services changing from electric to diesel and Class 47/3s can now be driven on freight services.

• Added a new service mode timetable to route. 

• Added new road vehicles across the route, removing the outdated models. 

• Added grass to fields across the route 

• Added crops to various fields across the route. 

• Added a missing player collision wall at Kirkham and Wesham Station bridge. 

• Added collisions to roads, crossings and footpaths across the route to locations the player can access meaning the player will now not walk through them but over them. 

• Added in the missing crop field at Weeton Curve. 

• Added West Coast Main Line: Crewe to Preston route hop. 

• Added announcements at Blackpool North Station and Preston Station

• Added new traffic on M55 motorway at Weeton. 

• Addition of new service mode to incorporate the newer stock from Preston Carlisle. 

• Addition of Ambient audio and announcement changes. 

• Improved footstep audio to roads, paths and crossings the player can access route wide. 

• Moved the out of boundaries collision box from the Burn Naze branch to beyond Jameson Road Bridge. 

• Correct audio applied to roads, crossings and footpaths across the route to locations the player can access. 

• Updated Desto board to add destinations for Crewe - Preston 

• Updated localisation throughout the route. 

• Fixed an issue where there were red signals whilst waiting for station objectives to clear at Blackpool North. 

West Coast Main Line: Preston-Carlisle 

• Added rail singing to the route

• Added raildriver support for all liveries of the Class 87 

• Optimised the texture set up to save memory usage on the route

• Adjustments to Headlights and marker lights brightness for Class 87

• Instrument lights on the Class 87 are now visible during the day

• Improved substitution for Mk2a/Mk3a/47-4/Mk1 

• AI services (Including the broken service) should now have passengers on Broken Down scenario. 

• Foreman should now be hidden correctly when the player returns on Currock Collection scenario. 

• Passengers should now enter Carlise Station correctly. 

• Updated localisation throughout the route. 

• Updated the collision on Class 87 so you can access brake controls correctly. 

• Updated InterCity logo so this is now correct. 

• Improved headlight intensity on Class 87. 

• Fixed lighting on Mk3 coaches so it's now a warmer glow. 

• Fixed suspension sounds not playing frequently enough on the Mk3's. 

• Fixed the custom liveries not being available in formation designer 

• Fixed wipers stopping animation near to the player for Class 87 

• Fixed the FFA and FGA wagons giving excessive rebound upon braking or shut off. 

• Fixed FFA wagon's wheels not spinning. 

• Fixed passengers spawning on top of a car at Carlisle.

• Fixed several broken Walls and Hedges around the Tebay and Shap areas. 

• Removed a telegraph post that was placed within a bridge at Little Strickland. 

WCML South: London Euston - Milton Keynes

• Added a route hop at Milton Keynes allowing players to transition to WCML Trent Valley from the footbridge. 

• Adjusted platform settings at Leighton Buzzard & Harrow & Wealdstone to ensure NPCs disembark smoothly. 

• Fixed an issue at Leighton Buzzard so passengers now walk away from the train and move toward station exits instead of standing still.  

• Passengers now spawn and navigate correctly when starting on foot at Euston.  

• Various localisation updates throughout the route

Medway Valley Line: Strood - Tonbridge (PC & Xbox only*)

• Added a rare new rainbow weather feature, including a guaranteed appearance in the “Looking for Trouble” scenario

• Added a new Dispatcher game mode at Tonbridge Station

• Added interiors to remaining signal boxes (East Farleigh, Aylesford, Snodland)

• Maidstone West signal box is now accessible

• Track diagrams added to all signal box interiors

• Added Rochester Bridge feature lighting, seasonal hay rolls, new signage, pedestrian crossing audio, fictional mail branding, animated pedestrians, and telegraph pole cabling

• Added missing Gillingham signal feather positions and route hop support at Tonbridge

• Improved route visuals, including tunnels, terrain, sleepers, lineside fencing, flats near Maidstone West, and Rochester disused station lighting

• Updates to audio throughout the route including air bellow, brake hiss, flange, gearbox, traction motors, transformer and VVVF

• Fixed floating track, terrain spikes, clipping issues, collision problems, NPC pathing, and collectible completion

• Corrected Tonbridge West Junction line speeds and level crossing sign localisation

• Updated Class 375/3 and 375/6 with guard panel interlock lights and missing bogie audio

• Fixed an issue so that all collectibles can now be collected 

• Various localisation updates throughout the route

*Note: We have identified that the Medway Valley Line updates will have caused a re-emergence of the PS5 Audio issues, so in order to help prevent these impacting players on the platform, we have held the release for PS5 whilst our teams continue working to address this in an upcoming patch. Thank you for being patient.

HST Farewell Tour Pack (PC & Gen-9 Only)

We have a range of improvements for the HST Farewell Tour Pack, however please note these will only be available on PC & Gen-9 console platforms (PS5, Xbox Series S/X) whilst our team conclude Gen8 testing. We'll aim to share these changes on Xbox One and PS4 in our next update, planned later in June.

• Added unbranded Mk3 coaches and improved naming clarity in Formation Designer

• Added region tags enabling custom liveries to appear in the GWE timetable

• Added Raildriver support for the Farewell Tour HSTs

• Added checks to ensure wiper state loads correctly when resuming a save

• Epilogue scenario no longer requires GWE installed

• Open Day scenario fully playable with safety systems enabled

• Improved LOD behaviour to prevent low‑quality texture flicker at distance

• Improved horn volume and interior occlusion for Class 43 & Mk3 coaches

• Fixed missing outer ring on the Ferris wheel mesh in the Open Day scenario

• Fixed safety systems triggering in both cabs after switching

• Fixed AI incorrectly using night lights during daytime

• Updated RVDs with new Rail Vehicle Class and Livery ID tags for Free Roam compatibility

• Class 43 now correctly spawns in Free Roam

• Corrected horn occlusion so interior cab audio behaves properly on Class 43

• Restored missing front coupler, EOTD, track joint, and flange squeal audio on Class 43

Midland Main Line: Leicester Derby Nottingham

• Updated station directory to correctly include Cross Country destinations

• Implemented new suspension physics, improving visible coach movement and ride feel on the EMT Class 43 (HST)

• Implemented and refined suspension physics, improving ride quality and vehicle movement on EMT Class 158

• Updated Timetable to reference the Nuclear Class 20

Riviera Line: Exeter - Plymouth & Paignton  

• Fixed an issue causing the 6P train causing the game to crash.  

• Updated signalling logic on signal DM 208 at Teignmouth to allow permissive entry into the platform.

• HST Farewell Tour power cars now selectable on Riviera HST services. 

Manchester Airport Commuter 

• Fixed missing Liverpool Lime Street announcement

• Slade Lane Junction fully rebuilt and corrected, fixing poorly laid junctions, missing points, and ensuring smoother running on the Down Fast 

• Fixed floating Position Light Signal at Stockport Viaduct 

• Longsight Depot signalling updated, including a corrected exit GPL signal so shunting moves can now be routed correctly

• Various localisation updates throughout the route

WCML Trent Valley: Crewe - Milton Keynes

• All chapters in Rail Journeys for WCML Trent Valley should now display their services correctly with no blank entries.  

• Optimisation improvements for materials and textures of Class 807

• Removed 1A40 from Reduced timetable on Trent Valley under Class 807 services

West Coast Main Line: Birmingham Crewe

• Various localisation updates throughout the route  

Class 802

• Fixed an issue where the doors sounds weren't playing from the correct places.

CrossCountry BR Class 220 Voyager DMU

• Added announcement for Class 220 when approaching the terminating station 

Scotrail BR Class 380 EMU

• Reduced braking performance based on player feedback to better match expected behaviour.

DSN Class 31 

• Updated Tank Trouble scenario so the scenario now ends after coupling to the train, removing the unnecessary detour to the staging yard.

East Coast Mainline

• Updated the power controller notches on the LNER Class 801 so that only Position 1 remains a notched power step, and the rest of the notches have smooth transitions. 

Southern BR Class 171 & BR Class 377/3 

• Connected the vigilance pedal button to the correct input on gamepad  

Edinburgh Glasgow Engineering Express Pack 

• Fixed the Datacord “4” key on both cabs of the Class 66 which previously input the wrong value.  

• Controls now display correct labels and operate as expected in both cabs.  

West Somerset Railway

• Fixed an issue that prevented the wipers from clearing rain/snow.

Avanti West Coast BR Class 805 Evero BMU

• Vigilance penalty brake now stays applied until the train fully stops.  

• Fixed an issue so the vigilance system cannot be reset before train comes to a full stop.  

Stuttgart Heilbronn

• Wittenberger cab car can now correctly control BR 145 Expert and BR 101 Expert locomotives

• Update to ensure BR 111 control remains fully functional
