Space Haven - The Experimental Crew.

Greetings, Spacefarers!

The 1.0 Release of Space Haven has gone really well, even surprising and exceeding our expectations. It is amazing to see many new players join us and seeing all the feedback we've received.

Once again we would like to thank you all for being with us and playing our game. It really is awesome to see and it's just something special to experience as a developer of a game. So thank you!

Space Haven - The Experimental Crew

Join the Experimental Crew today and help test new builds of the game as first testers.

In the immediate near future we are looking to do the final stabilization improvements: Fix remaining bugs, optimize and improve on the experience as much as we can. Once we have the game where we want it to be in that regard we will look into future plans for the game and new content.

We are now looking for any brave volunteers to join the Experimental Crew, players who want to test new builds as first responders and report back on the performance on new updates. If you are out there, please respond to our call!

The update process is as follows:

  1. A new Update is first available in the Experimental Branch.

  2. Players, who do not mind playing a more unstable version, will first want to test the new update.

  3. Once the Experimental versions of the new update build looks solid and stable enough we will push it out officially to all players!

NOTE! Joining Experimental branch is completely optional, and you should only do it if you are willing to risk that some new bugs are introduced, which could affect your game play and potentially break your save.

Please do not join the Experimental branch if you don't want to risk breaking your save or have the game break on you in midst of play! If you want to play a more stable version please wait for the official release of the update.

Here is how you join the Experimental Branch:

  • Open Steam Library.

  • Right click Space Haven.

  • Select Properties.

  • Go to tab 'Betas' at the top.

  • Select 'experimental' in the drop-down.

To see what has been added, check the in-game patch notes.

Note to old players: The 'unstable' branch has been disabled for now so please switch to Experimental if you want to continue testing.

Note to players playing with mods: We have enabled the launch option to play with mods also for the experimental branch. So you can be both a tester and play with mods.
