Solo-Queue Test Scheduled for June 30th
The previously announced Diamond+ solo-queue-only test will start on June 30th at 10am PT and run until July 13th, or until we have gathered enough data.During this time, players ranked Diamond or higher will be unable to matchmake as premade squad in into Ranked.In addition to solidifying the dates of the test, we wanted to take this opportunity to clarify the reason for the delay:We mentioned in a recent matchmaking blog that we've been doing frequent and varied matchmaking tests and sometimes that pace results in complications. We pointed to outages in the last split that were the result of complications directly connected to these tests, and explained that we're putting steps in place to prioritize stability above all else.The solo queue test delay was a direct result of these concerns: The team wanted to ensure that all systems are in a stable place to safely and reliably execute this test. Therefore, we need to wait until we're sure. Looking at the stability of matchmaking systems over recent weeks, we should be able proceed on June 30th with minimal risk.
