Becoming a Dawnwalker doesn’t come without its share of burdens… but it also grants access to powerful abilities.Coen doesn’t have to rely on his sword alone. By day, he can explore the mysterious witchcraft taught to him by Anca. By night, his vampiric nature awakens, unlocking a darker and more instinctive set of powers. It is up to you to shape how these abilities evolve, and how far you are willing to go.Each path offers unique ways to approach combat and can be developed independently or combined to create a personalized playstyle.Vampiric Abilities awaken at night, allowing Coen to embrace his curse and unleash powers fueled by health and corruption. The deeper Coen sinks into his corruption, the more abilities he can unlock. But most vampiric powers demand a sacrifice...Swordmastery emphasizes precision, timing, and mastery of combat fundamentals. As the sword skill tree expands, players can specialize in defensive resilience or relentless offensive combinations, transforming every successful action into a deadly opportunity, be it during the day or at night. Witchcraft, available during the day, grants access to a range of offensive and defensive spells that reshape the battlefield. Some spells provide crowd control or damage-over-time effects, while others give you buffs and debuffs that can alter the flow of combat. Mastering this discipline requires both arcane knowledge and careful investment, rewarding those willing to pursue forbidden magic. To enhance his powers and skills, Coen can earn Experience Points (XP) in different ways: Defeating enemies and powerful creatures. Completing quests and objectives. Discovering hidden locations and secrets. Overcoming special encounters and bosses. Accumulated XP increases Coen's level, granting access to new progression opportunities and additional skill points for him to unlock new abilities.Unlocking and improving abilities requires a combination of: Skill Points, earned through leveling up. Time, representing the effort needed to study techniques, deciphering arcane knowledge, or deepening Coen's connection to his curse. However, new abilities cannot simply be learned through leveling:To improve your Swordmastery abilities, you’ll need to find manuals left all over the world by soldiers or bandits – or buy them from some fencers you’ll encounter during your travels.To learn new spells or upgrade more of your Witchcraft abilities, it’s best to search for magic manuals in ancient ruins or haunted places… or the wares of some other magic practitioners, if you can find them.To unlock access to the increasingly powerful Vampirism abilities, increase Coen's corruption by feeding on blood, and embracing his vampiric nature.
