Hey Curators!

Today we kick off a month-long celebration as Two Point Studios turns TEN! (Where did the time go??). We’ve got a jam-packed season ahead, and this update? Consider it the starter to a full course coming very soon. You should definitely get some Gubbins and birthday cake ready for tomorrow.

Expect new content, exclusive reveals, and quality-of-life updates alongside optimisations - tonnes of lovely Two Point goodness to keep your museum halls buzzing over the warmer months. But the best part? The cherry on top? To add some extra ✨sparkle✨ to all this lovely new content, this update is thanks to YOU. We couldn’t do this without every single one of you brilliant (and occasionally chaotic) Curators who’ve sent us your thoughts, feedback, and fantastic ideas. We’ve been listening, we’ve been brewing, and whilst there’s exciting new content still cooking, we’re here to do one thing to kick-start a fantastic summer: deliver!

Anniversary Cake & Outfit

It’s a special time for the studio, as very soon, we turn ten! To mark the occasion, there are new Anniversary Items in-game so all Pointians can join in with the celebrations.

Don your Staff with two new anniversary outfits, the Cake Topper and Party Hat. Plus, you can even get your guests involved with the new Anniversary Cake, a self-serve cake display where guests and staff alike can share a slice to increase their Food need.

Choose an Exhibit

A few months ago, we released a blog all about how we take on and action feedback from you lovely Pointians, and one of your top requests was the ability to set up repeating Expeditions. If you didn’t see that blog piece, we went into detail about how that was technically difficult, and we promised our design team were cooking up something to help.

Well, they’re here to DELIVER. Now, once a Point of Interest reaches max Survey Level, you can select which exhibit you want on the Expedition setup screen. Choosing an Exhibit increases the Expedition’s cost and duration; however, you can be guaranteed to get the exhibit you choose.

Now, the pay-off here is that it doesn’t guarantee the Exhibit’s quality; you still need to use all the tools at your disposal to increase the chances of finding higher-quality Exhibits, but, for anyone looking to complete their Pristine collection, it’s now all the easier to guarantee the exhibit you want.

Twitch Drops

Celebrate our birthday in style, with some throwback items available as Twitch Drops. To earn Twitch Drops, watch your favourite streamers until 16th July to grab these drops celebrating our birthday.

The items can be earned by watching Drop-Enabled streamers play Two Point Museum - you’ll know if a streamer has drop-enabled as it displays in their tags on Twitch!

Watch 15 minutes to earn the Milk Keg, an item you might remember from your campus days. The Milk Keg is a wall-mounted unit that meets guests’ Drink need.

After 30 minutes, you unlock the Leaflet Info stand, reminiscent of the leaflets in Two Point Hospital. This item will inform your guests all about your wonderful exhibits. And last but not least, by watching for 30 minutes, you’ll unlock the Ticket Reception, a throwback to our roots in the hospital again. This works just like a normal ticket desk.

Two Point Museum Free Weekend!

We’re excited to announce that Two Point Museum is FREE to play this weekend, starting 18:00 BST today you can jump in and try your hand at curation. If you’ve ever been on the fence about playing, now is the perfect time to try.

• Anniversary Cake and Outfits!

  • Celebrate Two Point Studio’s 10 Year anniversary in style with a new food item and staff costumes

• ✨ Choose Exhibit Option

  • Once a POI reaches max Survey Level, you can now select which exhibit you want to find when preparing an expedition

  • Selecting an exhibit increases the expedition’s cost and duration. It also does not guarantee the exhibit’s quality.

  • Exhibits can only be selected if they’re not unique and have already been previously discovered. The option is only available on POIs that have more than one exhibit

  • Certain POIs (such as those that give materials or all Digiverse POIs) do not use this feature

• ✨ Emotions on Non-Art Exhibits

  • The following exhibits have been given a new “Brush with Emotion” trait. This imbues the exhibit with an Art emotion and provides Art Enthusiast guests additional Buzz:

    • Bashful Bust - Romance

    • Haunted Portrait - Sorrow

    • Cave Painting Corner - Joy

    • Cave Painting Wall - Joy

    • Halvenhaf Tapestry - Rage

    • Fantasy Statue - Romance

    • Wetlantean Mosaic - Sophistication

    • Painted Portside Fish - Sophistication

• ✨ Improved the descriptions for studio room-related Art expert traits so that their impacts are more immediately understandable

• ✨ Performance Stages can now be placed outside

• ✨ Once an Art expert learns an emotion, it can now appear on new Art applicants

• ✨ If an expert goes MIA when creating a piece of Art in the Studio Room, the exhibit will gain a new special trait

• ✨ Increased Trend Setter status effect from 90 days to 120 days

• ✨ Added a Digital Ambience

• ✨ Improved the lighting of Memento Mile

• ✨ Fixed an issue where the UI would disappear on the Expedition Rewards menu

• Reduced the impact of Joy’s Buzz from 25% to 15%

• ✨ Rebalanced the Emotional Depth times so that they’re less likely to last for a guest’s entire visit

• ✨ Fixed an issue where staff with The Blues illness were not painting exclusively blue artwork

• ✨ Fixed certain multi-part Art exhibits having incorrect Buzz on their shards

• ✨ Added footprint indicators to the Gift Shop serving counter

• ✨ Fixed an issue where Level 1 of the Emotional Intelligence qualification was adding too many emotion slots

• ✨ Fixed the Clumsy trait not adding an event in the Studio Room setup

• ✨ Fixed an issue where Art decorations were being instantly available in Sandbox mode
