Moreover, out of respect for the progress and property that players have accumulated, we cannot simply shut down or reorganize these servers flexibly. This means we would need to continue investing significant resources to maintain server operations over a long period. More importantly, a limited number of active players would fail to deliver the lively, interactive multiplayer experience that we want for all of you.Taking both operational costs and your gameplay experience into account, we have decided not to open long-term PVP servers. This allows us to focus on delivering more PVP content (yes, we have many more server-related ideas coming) and encourages everyone to engage more actively in time-limited survival warfare. Finally, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all players who support and provide feedback. You are among the most important parts of Soulmask. We will continue to improve the official server experience, ensuring that in this world filled with strangers, there remains plenty of passion and vitality.Thank you all.

A Series of Notes Regarding Official Servers
Dear Chieftains!

With the official release of Soulmask 1.0, we've noticed a lot of feedback from many of you regarding our official servers. Here, Maggie would like to take a moment to address your concerns and provide further clarification — no more small talk, let's get straight into it.

Regarding Adjustments to PVP Server Gameplay

Yes, we have carefully considered the feedback from our PVP players. As a result, we will be introducing optimizations to the upcoming PVP servers and launching a brand new PVP mode:

A new mechanic that gradually unlocks the max Awareness Level based on server opening time:

  • Day 1: Max Awareness Level 29

  • Day 2: Max Awareness Level 34

  • Day 3: Max Awareness Level 39

  • Day 4: Max Awareness Level 44

  • Day 5: Max Awareness Level 49

  • Day 6: Max Awareness Level 54

  • Day 7: Max Awareness Level 59

  • Days 8–10: Max Awareness Level 60

Existing PVP servers will retain their original settings and will not be adjusted. If you wish to experience the new mode, please feel free to wait for our upcoming new servers.

So, why wasn't the new PVP mode enabled on the first batch of servers?

We fully understand that many veteran Chieftains have invested significant time and effort during the Early Access phase, building up their progress and forming established play habits. That is why we decided to preserve the classic mode on the initial servers, for the following reasons:

  1. Respecting Past Investment and Play Habits
No one wants their familiar gameplay experience to change abruptly. We didn't want to radically alter the experience for all veteran Chieftains right from the start. Therefore, we first ensured that the existing, stable PVP mode could continue to operate smoothly — which is also why we did not launch the new PVP servers on day one.

  2. Ensuring a Smooth Transition for New Mechanic
A new mode brings new challenges. We need to test it step by step, adjust the values, and only then roll it out on a larger scale. That is why we will first open a small number of experimental servers.

Regarding Official Servers in South America and Australia

Due to unavoidable factors such as user data regulations and regional restrictions, our previous server provider for these two regions is unfortunately no longer able to continue supporting us. We are actively looking for alternatives, but at this stage we are facing real difficulties — which is why we are temporarily unable to keep the official servers open in South America and Australia.

We fully understand that this decision will be disappointing for players in these regions who have been eagerly waiting for the 1.0 release. Please believe us when we say that even as a temporary measure, this has been an extremely difficult choice for us to make.

As soon as we have evaluated a new solution, we will restart our plans for local official servers and inform you all immediately.

Regarding Long-Term PVP Servers

Many players have asked about the possibility of long-term PVP servers, and we would like to be open and honest with you about our considerations.

Long-term servers for PVP mode naturally tend to lose players over time, often becoming underpopulated — this is almost inevitable. Moreover, out of respect for the progress and property that players have accumulated, we cannot simply shut down or reorganize these servers flexibly.

This means we would need to continue investing significant resources to maintain server operations over a long period. More importantly, a limited number of active players would fail to deliver the lively, interactive multiplayer experience that we want for all of you.

Taking both operational costs and your gameplay experience into account, we have decided not to open long-term PVP servers.

We will continue to improve the official server experience, ensuring that in this world filled with strangers, there remains plenty of passion and vitality.

Thank you all.
