Valhalla Letter: Harmonious Growth and the Beginning of a New Myth

Greetings, warriors of Legend of YMIR. This is Executive Producer Seok Hoon.

On April 7, Legend of YMIR finally opened the gates to a new land through the Steam platform. Thanks to the overwhelming support and explosive interest shown at launch by countless PC gamers around the world, as well as our existing warriors, we achieved the remarkable milestone of opening five additional new servers within a short period of time. On behalf of the development team, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to all of our warriors for the unwavering support and love that made it possible for us to successfully mark this first chapter on the vast platform that is Steam.

With the arrival of the new Rune Fighter class, the opening of the Hall of Cooperation, and the expansion into a new world, the Land of YMIR is now more alive with excitement than ever before. Amid battlefields where everyone joins forces, the fierce cries of battle and valuable feedback sent by our warriors have become the strongest driving force that keeps our development team working day and night.

In this fourteenth letter, we would like to share news on the major update coming on April 14 to help restore balance across the land, the balance adjustments planned for April 21, the Partner’s Server Auction that will help lead a new era, the grand opening of the upcoming 2nd YMIR Cup, and the Clean Play Campaign for a fairer battlefield.

True to the spirit of the Season of Cooperation, the Party Bonus EXP Event will begin with the April 14 update to support the remarkable growth of our warriors.

To help you achieve explosive growth alongside your allies, we have significantly increased the party bonus EXP. In line with this change, the EXP structure in the Hall of Cooperation will also be revamped. While base hunting EXP has been slightly reduced, powerful bonuses applied to parties of 4 or more players will allow you to enjoy an even greater sense of progression than before.

In addition, we fully understand the difficulties many warriors have faced due to the high entry barrier of the Hall of Cooperation, and we have made bold balance adjustments accordingly. To ensure that the joy of cooperative play with your allies does not turn into frustration, we have reduced the overwhelming damage dealt by bosses and eased the overall difficulty of monsters throughout the dungeon. Now, with less burden and greater opportunity, we invite you to join your trusted comrades and claim even richer rewards together.

A new Azure Amber system will be introduced to the land, breathing new life into rare equipment that has been lying unused in your inventory throughout your battles and progression.

You can now obtain Azure Amber, a valuable new currency, by dismantling rare equipment. It can be used not only to further strengthen your character, but also as the primary currency at the new Azure Amber Merchant. We hope you will enjoy this new cycle of progression, where the results of your farming become yet another key to growth through the purchase and crafting of rare items unavailable anywhere else on the land.

The class balance adjustments that many warriors have been waiting for are now steadily being prepared for the April 21 update.

As the combat meta has shifted following the arrival of the Rune Fighter, we have been listening closely to your feedback, especially regarding combat feel and responsiveness. We are significantly reducing delay between skill chains and greatly improving the cast speed of certain skills so that the Rune Fighter’s signature fast paced and explosive combat style can be fully realized.

At the same time, we are also preparing detailed stat adjustments for the other classes to improve combat efficiency and overall balance. To deliver a level of balance that feels both fair and satisfying on the battlefield, we will continue refining these changes with the utmost care until the very end and present them in the April 21 update. We ask for just a little more patience and anticipation.

On April 30, the operating period of the inaugural partners who have spent the past six months turning the harsh Land of YMIR into great kingdoms will come to an end. We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for the remarkable hard work and dedication shown by our existing partners, who helped lay the foundation of the continent while leading countless warriors.

And now, the land begins preparing to welcome new Lords of Valhalla, who will write the next chapter of its history over the coming six months.

A fierce auction to select the next partners will be held soon. We hope you will look forward to the newly chosen partners, the new Partner’s Servers they will rule, and the unpredictable battlefield that will emerge from all of these changes.

On the battlefield of the first YMIR Cup, the courage and honor shown by the warriors of server xaou were deeply etched into the history of the Land of YMIR. The names of the inaugural champions and the path of strength they forged have become a noble saga, still echoed through the halls of Valhalla and sung by the bards of Midgard.

We extend our deepest respect to all the heroes who made the first YMIR Cup truly shine, and now we are ready to begin the second chapter that will carry on that great legacy.

With the power structure set to be reshaped through the new Partner’s Auction, all eyes now turn to who will rise to the top.

The endless journey to become the strongest continues, as YMIR Cup Season 2 arrives in late June 2026.

Our development team is fully aware, more than anyone, of the deep frustration and concerns about fairness that warriors have been experiencing due to the recent rise in unauthorized programs such as bots and hacks, as well as abnormal economic activity across the land.

Although we painfully recognize that completely eradicating these issues in a short period of time is not easy, we will never stand by or give up. As a practical response to this issue and as part of a stronger effort to work together with our players, we will be launching the Clean Play Campaign for approximately one month, from after the April 14 update until before the May 12 maintenance.

ㆍActive Reports and Rewards: Warriors can report abnormal users through the Clean Play Campaign category in the Customer Center. If an actual sanction is taken based on that report, special rewards will be provided to the reporting player as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Through this Clean Play Campaign, we hope you will see our firm commitment to a fairer Land of YMIR, and we sincerely ask for your active participation in helping us create a healthier and more enjoyable game environment.

Both this balance adjustment and the Clean Play Campaign were able to move in the right direction because of our ongoing communication with you.
