TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT 2026
TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT is a new indie game event that began in 2023 in Kichijoji, Musashino City, Tokyo, with the vision of becoming “a place where the talents of various creators centered around indie games come together and find opportunities to reach new heights.”For creators, it serves as an opportunity to present their works and interact with both players and fellow creators. For players, it provides a chance to discover and experience new games and creators. With the hope that creators, fans, and the local community can come together to nurture new possibilities, the event has been held three times so far. At the third edition held this year, we welcomed over 24,000 visitors in total, creating opportunities for interaction that transcended age, gender, and nationality.Building on this momentum, and with the aim of offering an even richer “place for connections that can only be experienced here,” we have decided to hold the next edition of the event this year. Taking feedback from participants into account, the event will continue to be held over two days—with Day 1 as a Business Day and Day 2 open to the public—while introducing a renewed venue designed for greater usability. As a new initiative, we will also launch the online showcase “TIGS Online Showcase.”Furthermore, we will strengthen our collaboration with the city of Kichijoji as a whole. By further integrating the appeal of indie games with the many forms of culture deeply rooted in Musashino and Kichijoji, such as music and anime, we aim to deepen these collaborations and present them to the world as a “local × global event.”
