You'll need to specifically reach Jemison, which is one of many planets in the system. There will be several options on the planet screen; select The Lodge, and then pick Talk with Sergeant Yumi (Commercial District). Once done, you'll now be able to assign her to your ship. She can then be found on the ship, and you can use her for different tasks. While Muria is tied with the Free Lanes update, she also has a role to play in the Terran Armada DLC.
