Does Server Slam carry over to the full Marathon release? Open beta progression, explained
Marathon's Server Slam will conclude this weekend after acting as a stress test for the full launch, and all your in-game progression will be erased once the beta is over. However, there are still some great reasons behind why you should grind and rank up as much as possible.Table of contentsWill you retain your Marathon Server Slam items? What do you retain from Marathon Server SlamWill you retain your Marathon Server Slam items? All items you found for your backpack and vault during the Server Slam will be completely gone after this weekend. When the game officially launches on March 5, you'll need to start from scratch once again. Your backpack and loadout will be empty (apart from a few rewards, but more on that later). Your seasonal progress will also reset completely, and you'll have to begin from the first level. The same rule also applies to all the contracts that you complete and the factions that you unlock. Come March 5, and you'll only have the first faction unlocked for you. You'll start by completing the beginner contracts, and then proceed further. Do note that the contracts could change upon full launch. Screenshot by Destructoid The same rule also applies to all kinds of cosmetics that you'll unlock in your account by grinding the codex. However, you'll get the chance to get them once again by completing different Codex activities on the full version of the game. Once again, lookout for new Codex challenges on the full launch version that could provide you with more rewards. What do you retain from Marathon Server Slam While you don't retain anything directly from your loadout and completed quests, some rewards will be available on the full launch.
