[Dev Blog] RaidZone: Separate Modes and Upcoming Update Plans
Dear Metas,To enrich your RaidZone experience, we plan to implement a major structural change to RaidZone in the next version update. This includes the introduction of three different modes: Casual, Standard, and Hardcore, plus the new Morphic Echoite enemy, new functional items, and an upgraded anti-cheat system. We'll go into the details below. If you have any thoughts, let us know via the Co-Dev Feedback Platform.I. Different Modes: Casual / Standard / HardcoreWe've noticed significant differences in what players expect from RaidZone. Some prefer low frustration, stable progression, and a casual experience, while others seek intense PvP, high-risk-reward stakes, and a more dynamic combat pace. When all these players are placed under the same ruleset, the following issues emerge:For more casual players, items dropping on death and territory raids increase frustration, create a steep learning curve, and make stable progression difficult. For more hardcore players, the territory raid window and season pacing aren't focused enough, making it difficult to gain advantages through tactical decisions or combat strength. Therefore, we will split RaidZone into three modes with clearly distinct rulesets that correspond to various preferences. In Casual mode, players do not drop all supplies upon death, only weapons, gear, and RaidZone Chips. This is to avoid players giving up after dying once. Territory raids are kept within a four-hour window, and players can submit materials to their Territory Terminals to make their territories safe at all times. In Standard and Hardcore modes, gameplay parameters remain the same as the current RaidZone, and their territory raid windows are 8 hours and 24 hours, respectively. These are all the differences between the three modes:ModeDurationDeath DropsRaid WindowTerritory RulesCasual14 days, 28 daysOnly weapons and gear4 hoursTerritory protection in effectStandard7 daysEverything8 hoursRequires maintenance materialsHardcore7 daysEverything24 hoursRequires maintenance materialsII. New Enemy: Morphic EchoiteA brand new threat is coming to RaidZone: a Morphic that can disguise itself as an Echoite crate. It looks just like a normal Echoite drop, but if a Meta comes within a certain distance, it will reveal its true form and start attacking. Trigger Method: Triggers on approach. For safety, careful observation before approaching is recommended.Risk/Reward: Drops valuable supplies upon defeat, but also increases the risk of detection and combat.Counterstrategy: Rockets are highly effective. You can also shoot it to death, but that will take more time and ammo.Currently, the dominant strategy is rushing for an airdrop the moment it's spotted. Our intention with Morphic Echoites is to make this a more calculated decision. Players must assess if airdrops are an opportunity or a trap, and make trade-offs between firepower allocation, positioning, exposing one's location, and the risk of opponents interfering. After their release, we will continue to monitor the spawn rates, kill cost, and rewards of Morphic Echoites, and make adjustments based on player feedback, so as to balance their risk-reward ratio.III. New: Functional ItemsWe are adding new functional items to enrich the late-game survival experience in RaidZone, and to give players more tools for various situations other than resource management, routing, and combat. We hope these new items will make looting more fun and surprising, so exploration and gathering are no longer solely motivated by stat growth. Here's the latest intel from the RaidZone wasteland:Rosetta Bio-Gel: Barrels bearing the Rosetta insignia and containing a gelatinous liquid have been found in crates scattered through various regions. The gel appears to have been formed by modifying an extract of the Festering Gel. According to witness reports, the gel forms a puddle of unidentified liquid on the ground when thrown. The puddle feels only "a bit sticky" underfoot, but nobody has ever been "fine" after coming into contact with it.Giant Crate: A somewhat ridiculously large metal crate forgotten deep within a warehouse. Its estimated capacity far exceeds that of any storage container you've ever seen. If you've been struggling to find space for your supplies, you should consider taking it home.Airtight Diving Suit: Someone found a full set of airtight diving gear in a stronghold. Though the waters in RaidZone are far from safe, that may present an opportunity for some. With this suit, you can stay underwater for much longer than your opponent expects.Dense Energy Device: This last one is hard to describe. It seems to be some kind of high-density energy device. When activated, it instantly expands a halo of blue-white light. Reports state that, after taking cover behind it for just a brief moment, a critically wounded Meta fully recovered and returned to battle. Dear Metas,
To enrich your RaidZone experience, we plan to implement a major structural change to RaidZone in the next version update. This includes the introduction of three different modes: Casual, Standard, and Hardcore, plus the new Morphic Echoite enemy, new functional items, and an upgraded anti-cheat system. We'll go into the details below. If you have any thoughts, let us know via the Co-Dev Feedback Platform.
We've noticed significant differences in what players expect from RaidZone. Some prefer low frustration, stable progression, and a casual experience, while others seek intense PvP, high-risk-reward stakes, and a more dynamic combat pace. When all these players are placed under the same ruleset, the following issues emerge:
For more casual players, items dropping on death and territory raids increase frustration, create a steep learning curve, and make stable progression difficult.
These are all the differences between the three modes:

Only weapons and gear

Standard

A brand new threat is coming to RaidZone: a Morphic that can disguise itself as an Echoite crate. It looks just like a normal Echoite drop, but if a Meta comes within a certain distance, it will reveal its true form and start attacking.

Trigger Method: Triggers on approach. For safety, careful observation before approaching is recommended.
Risk/Reward: Drops valuable supplies upon defeat, but also increases the risk of detection and combat.
Counterstrategy: Rockets are highly effective. You can also shoot it to death, but that will take more time and ammo.
Currently, the dominant strategy is rushing for an airdrop the moment it's spotted. Our intention with Morphic Echoites is to make this a more calculated decision. Players must assess if airdrops are an opportunity or a trap, and make trade-offs between firepower allocation, positioning, exposing one's location, and the risk of opponents interfering.
After their release, we will continue to monitor the spawn rates, kill cost, and rewards of Morphic Echoites, and make adjustments based on player feedback, so as to balance their risk-reward ratio.
We are adding new functional items to enrich the late-game survival experience in RaidZone, and to give players more tools for various situations other than resource management, routing, and combat. We hope these new items will make looting more fun and surprising, so exploration and gathering are no longer solely motivated by stat growth.
Here's the latest intel from the RaidZone wasteland:
Rosetta Bio-Gel: Barrels bearing the Rosetta insignia and containing a gelatinous liquid have been found in crates scattered through various regions. The gel appears to have been formed by modifying an extract of the Festering Gel. According to witness reports, the gel forms a puddle of unidentified liquid on the ground when thrown. The puddle feels only "a bit sticky" underfoot, but nobody has ever been "fine" after coming into contact with it.
Giant Crate: A somewhat ridiculously large metal crate forgotten deep within a warehouse. Its estimated capacity far exceeds that of any storage container you've ever seen. If you've been struggling to find space for your supplies, you should consider taking it home.
Airtight Diving Suit: Someone found a full set of airtight diving gear in a stronghold. Though the waters in RaidZone are far from safe, that may present an opportunity for some. With this suit, you can stay underwater for much longer than your opponent expects.
Dense Energy Device: This last one is hard to describe. It seems to be some kind of high-density energy device. When activated, it instantly expands a halo of blue-white light. Reports state that, after taking cover behind it for just a brief moment, a critically wounded Meta fully recovered and returned to battle. We still don't know its exact effects on the human body, but I don't need to explain what "surviving for a few more seconds" is worth in the RaidZone.
That's what we've discovered so far. As for what's hiding in the depths of the RaidZone, you'll have to find out for yourself.
The full list of items and their effects will be announced in batches closer to the version update. Keep watch for future articles!
In this update, we will add a new advanced underground stronghold, holding more valuable rewards but also guarded by stronger enemies. This is a high-risk, high-reward objective. Metas, build up your firepower and explore together.

Fairness is the absolute foundation of the survival and competitive experiences on Nalcott. We have identified cheats making prohibited changes to combat behavior. To provide a clean and fair match environment, this update will introduce upgrades to two core anti-cheat functions.
1. Upgraded Combat Cheat Detection
In response to community feedback and detected cheating activity, we have made targeted upgrades to our anti-cheat algorithms, significantly improving real-time detection of combat cheats, multi-layered verification, and automated enforcement. All attempts to illegally manipulate combat values will be met with severe penalties.
2. Upgraded Unusual Behavior Detection
We have conducted a deep reconstruction and upgrade of our existing anti-cheat algorithms, comprehensively improving detection accuracy and enforcement efficiency across all types of cheating behavior. Systems targeting unusual player behavior that severely affects game balance have been fully enhanced at every stage—from data capture to behavioral assessment and real-time enforcement—to reduce detection times and minimize missed or false detections. We will continuously update our list of cheating signs, leaving all covert cheats with nowhere to hide, stopping cheats from interfering with regular gameplay at the source, and resolutely upholding a fair competitive environment for all players.
That's all for this Dev Blog. Feel free to send us your thoughts or suggestions via the Co-Dev Feedback Platform.
