Dear Metas,

Recently, multiple reconnaissance teams have reported strange phenomena from deep within Nalcott. Sightings of unknown creatures are on the rise. This document will make this information public.

It has been confirmed that the enemies in this report will appear following the version update on March 26. Lurking in dense forests and the deep sea, each displays varying survival strategies and poses a unique threat.

Metas, please prepare yourselves.

I. New Enemy: Morphic Tree

As Stardust's influence over Nalcott grows, many trees have become deviated, gaining human traits. Though weak in combat, they are masters of disguise, using Stardust to cause aural and visual hallucinations in their prey, whom they ultimately transform into one of their kind.

Appearance

Morphic Trees usually look like regular trees, only revealing themselves when chopped. Its upper body is composed of wire-like "branches" and a "face," while its lower body is a normal tree trunk. On the whole, it resembles a human being waving its arms.

Behavior

Morphic Trees retain basic arboreal characteristics. They do not move and typically remain in disguise as a regular tree. Frequently, they disperse Stardust energy into the vicinity, inducing hallucinations in nearby organisms.

Prolonged exposure to these hallucinations will transform affected organisms into Morphic Trees. Research shows that Morphic Trees will corrupt surrounding trees, forming a "grove" that lures prey into chopping them down. In reality, this "grove" is the Morphic Tree's hunting ground, and stepping into it means grave danger.

Combat Mechanics

Do not panic if you have entered a Morphic Tree's "grove." Continue chopping down the trees in the "grove." In the resultant hallucinations, you will perceive the trees as humanoids facing a particular direction, pointing you toward the Morphic Tree itself. After chopping down enough trees and following their directions, you will uncover the Morphic Tree. Quickly find it and defeat it to escape danger.

Be warned that every tree you chop down will worsen your hallucinations. If you fail to find the Morphic Tree even after felling many trees, you will be trapped forever as a member of its "grove."

Upon defeating the Morphic Tree, its "grove" will perish as well, yielding a large amount of wood and special rewards. This is a highly efficient way to gather wood, but it is strongly advised to conduct a risk assessment before proceeding.

II. New Enemy: Sea Rabbit

As Stardust seeps into the ocean, even marine ecosystems have shown signs of deviation. In the deep sea, a new species has recently been observed, strongly resembling a sea hare. Hence its name: Sea Rabbit.

Appearance

Sea Rabbits are shaped like kiwi fruits. Gray and white in color, they have three pairs of fins for movement, and a pair of protrusions resembling rabbit ears. Its mouth also resembles a hare's lip, but its tail is most clearly deviated, having been completely replaced by a propeller-like organ.

Though seemingly docile, Sea Rabbits retain basic defensive instincts. When an enemy approaches, a Sea Rabbit will quickly shift into an aggressive form, baring its razor-sharp teeth and visually complex oral cavity in an attempt to bite its target.

Behavior

Sea Rabbits retain the habits of their original organisms. When relaxed, a Sea Rabbit moves at a leisurely pace, languidly foraging along the sea bed. However, if an enemy comes too close, it will quickly turn hostile, aggressively pursuing and biting the intruder until they leave its territory.

Combat Mechanics

Sea Rabbits have poor eyesight and nearly no sense of hearing. Often, they cannot even detect nearby enemies.
