The Road[map] Ahead, Fishing Preview, 1.0.6 Update!
The Road\[map] AheadHello travellers! It's only been a couple days since launch but it feels like so long has passed! We know there's been a few bumps in the road but, we’re thrilled to see how many players are playing and enjoying Outbound. Your support and your feedback has been a genuine motivation for us to continue improving Outbound and so, from all of the team at Square Glade Games we want to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to our players and community - we've read your feedback in discussion threads, reviews and Discord and we know there is a strong desire to see Outbound flourish through more content and features to be added. We’re proud to say that Outbound 1.0 is just the beginning. We have ambitious plans for the game and we'll continue to improve and expand thanks to your feedback! Here is our current roadmap for Outbound 2026:Preview: Fishing & Fish TanksWe already have some of the roadmap content in the making and are able to show you a preview of what is yet to come! With the 1.1 update, which is planned for the summer, we will add fishing and fish tanks to the game!You will be able to fish on different spots in the world and catch a variety of fish. Fish will be tracked in your journal as you catch/collect them. Depending on the size of the fish, they will also have a star rating!After you've caught a fish, you can put it into a fish tank as a decorative piece! Please note, as with other animals, that we do not intend to use them as food source. Added manual light control over vehicle lights (see below). Added filter and search functionality to storage (see below). Controller: When selecting a save game, you can just press (A) to jump to the load button, without needing to go through the whole list of save games anymore. Fixed that vehicles sometimes float when a workstation was placed on a specific spot. After interacting with all signal towers in a biome, the frequency of signals to appear is much higher now. Fixed the second ladder at the windmill (was very difficult to use). Fixed dog companion material depositing could lead to a buggy state of the storage UI. Fixed flash light icon showing while driving. Fixed flash light being usable while in a UI. Multiplayer: Fixed a bug that bee hives or water catchers sometimes became unusable.Added: Full control over vehicle lightsWe’ve heard that many of you want to be able to turn off your vehicle lights at night. Good news! You can now fully control your vehicle’s lights and turn them on or off whenever you want!By default, the lights automatically turn on at dusk once per day, but you can disable this in the settings if you prefer full manual control.Added: Storage sorting and searchingBy popular request: We added sorting and searching functionality to the vehicle (and dog companion) storage. We’ve heard that many of you want to be able to turn off your vehicle lights at night. Good news! You can now fully control your vehicle’s lights and turn them on or off whenever you want!
By default, the lights automatically turn on at dusk once per day, but you can disable this in the settings if you prefer full manual control.
By popular request: We added sorting and searching functionality to the vehicle (and dog companion) storage. You can now:
Sort alphabetically.
Sort by stack size.
Show all food first.
